Metallica - Turn The Page

The original is cool, but this cover SLAYS it!

I'm sure Doggy remembers, as I do, the Aussie version in the 70s by Jon English.

I love the original, so I can't say that the PC69 one slays it, but it's awesome.

Here's another one for your consideration from "Chipmunk Punk".

I had the album on cassette many decades ago.

I pretty much disagree with every post in this thread. The original is mostly better.

About the only one I can think of is Whitney Houston 'I will always love you'

"mostly", yes, but you have to agree that this one from kelly Hansen UTTERLY DESTROYS the original.    ;)

I added the winky smiley face, but I actually think it does.

that is one of the most ridiculous comments you've ever made on this forum.

there have been loads of covers of this song and none come even remotely close to matching the sublime brilliance of the original.

Seriously one of the greatest melodic rock songs ever recorded, and nothing touches the Perry/schon version

You're a great guy and I respect your opinion...

...You're just wrong on this one.*

The old "double bluff".

Why do you think I quoted you with a Journey track?

Unfortunately I don't have access to the "reeling a fish in" emoji.

Use your imagination.***

Remember hearing done by original singer, who also wrote  Bob Seger.

Yeah, a very worthy tribute, but Tepper's version is untouchable.

Prefer " At the Movies " version.

I know one, Richie Valens Labamba, great song but Los Lobos fucking shred the original, it's not even close.one of my favorite songs ever, you dont just do better then Richie Valens, so that's pretty phenomenal.

ZOOT - Eleanor Rigby

Bearing in mind that this Legendary Aussie cover is from 1971 (a year before I was born FFS).

I love "The Beatles", but this one absolutely slays the original.

I'm sure the Aussies here are well aware of the pedigree of this band.

A very young Rick Springfield, amongst others.

For a band who only done two albums, they were awesome.

Rest In Peace, Daryl.
