Why don't you call out Cody as being obsessed??? Afterall, he actually creates new threads about the US like every fortnight and has like monologues with himself.  Or is it because you and him agree on everything

 

 

The difference is that he didn't self-proclaim "I'm not obsessed with U.S. politics" all the while posting constantly in the thread. There's a certain irony in stating "I am NOT obsessed... no really, I'm not obsessed! Yoo hoo! I'm still not obsessed over here... this is me not obsessing... some more..." It has nothing to do with your stance vs. Cody (this time), but rather the humor in someone proclaiming they couldn't care less about the politics in the US... yet being one of the most prolific posters in the thread. That's all.

There are a shitload of pipelines running all over the US so do you mean Michigan Pipeline 5? Because that only affects Michigan as far as I know and I get why they want it shut down as if it ruptures it will cause a major disaster in Lake Michigan and the damn things seem to break on a regular basis....

Well the interest in posting in a thread shouldn't be linked to being 'obsessed' - I only need the feel to say I'm not obsessed because you always say I am

Sometimes you need distance to truly see an issue so maybe being on the outside looking in is not such a bad thing when it comes to politics...I know for a fact that when it comes to Canadian politics I am definitely biased.....

As for Glen, hopefully he will continue to post in these threads, not just because I agree with him most of the time but because these threads need more intelligent, common sense posts not less since many posts are done through a political lens which usually causes distortions....

I don't take umbridge against anyone's view but if you have a bunch of folk all blinkered in one viewpoint sometimes it takes another viewpoint to see a balance.
