Meh, hope it grows on me.
I like Miles/Slash and other Miles stuff.
His album last year was his best IMO and one of the better albums of the year.

Is this the quietest thread ever because people are amazed at how shit this album is? Jeez, I was actually kind of excited to hear some new gear from Slash. I'll be honest, though, I couldn't make it more than 3-4 songs into this. It's well played and sung and stuff, but the songs couldn't be more boring than if that was actually their aim. To be frank, it's just garbage. Complete, hard pass from me, I'm sad to say. :(

And you've not missed a single thing, to be honest. This one's as bad as the Snakepit albums. :(

I'll stick to Myles in Alter Bridge which is killer for me.

And you've missed a lot.
Sure, Snakepit, and Velvet Revolver etc are all very hit and miss, but the hits are great.
I generally get 2 or 3 keepers of each album and they are generally very very good songs.

Last Slash album I even remotely enjoyed was his first solo album, and the songs on that I liked the least were the ones with Kennedy (especially the live GNR stuff). I just find his vocals with Slash annoying as he seems to be trying to sing closer to Axl than what he sings like in Alterbridge.

That is a valid point.

I also think he overextends his range with slash for some reason.

Recent solo stuff has been very good though...
