    • Gave the new song a listen.... Decent song that does have a more classic feel to it, but overall I've had a hard time with their vocals since Austin left.  I just constantly keep comparing this to their earlier stuff and for me it just pales in comparison. That said, still love their first few albums and Take It To The Limit is still one of my favorite more "modern" albums.
    • I find the same thing. First listen, even the second or third before the songs start to catch on a bit. Surprisingly it's usually worth it, last few stryper albums have presented to me as being heavy unhooky and mundane to start with, but after a few listens they start to embed some grooves in my head and I start to really dig them.
    • Bloody hell, that's a blast from the past. Can't even remember what I thought of the debut, it was that long ago.  New song sounds pretty cool, though.
    • Yeah, cool vid. I find it pretty hard to get into the current Stryper albums, but this one has a little more light and shade, so to speak. As with so many albums these days, I couldn't find a keeper on it, but 'Betrayed by love,' and 'Grateful' and 'Rhyme of Time' were my favourites of the bunch.  Sweet solo in the 'When we were kings' song, though.
    • Hate to say it about one of my favourite bands from yesteryear, but this is not great. Just faceless rock songs that could never hope to have any type of longevity, completely opposite to what their back catalogue is full of. 'Moonlit Sky,' 'Falling' and 'Reason To Love' are the best on here, but still not keepers, imo.
    • They haven't been for a long, long time. Last album 2017.  They sadly parted with him a long time ago and have recorded two albums without him... with this dude. Not sad as he was a great singer, but he was undoubtedly a massive part of their awesomeness and sound.  I will say this, though, that I love this new song. If they're going to drop an album with stuff this good on it I am all the fuck aboard. Has a more vintage Hinder vibe for sure in that chorus. Really dig that, I do.
    • Immaculate, again. As always.
    • Small handful of songs I'll add to my playlist, probably more out of obligation than a strong fondness for them, but there's a few decent tunes on here like the first couple and 'Love Always Finds A Way.' But this type of ultra-safe AOR is getting increasingly hard to get into as the years pass.
    • Nice. Better get the album in my ears asap.
