It's strange, I just feel little incentive to bother opening this thread as I know the album will come out it'll sound how I expect it to sound and be a good, solid disc, with few highlights and I'll chalk it up as another solid disc from Newman. But we all already know exactly what's coming.

That'd be awesome. Always potential for a killer album, so I'd love to see it play out.

And that's probably true again...but I've heard the album and I think it's more impassioned than the last couple, which were still very good. I like this one a lot. Just great songs.

Looking forward to it. I always enjoy his/their albums but they've seemed a bit mechanical in recent years. Would love something to stand alongside those first three.

I know where you're comin from as to what to expect, but he's one of them acts that generally doesnt let you down...as Geoff said the first few are great so some of that in the mix would be nice  :) but I know already that i'll like it and buy it.

Funny. Read this thread after listening to it a few times and thinking I've heard everything on it before. I think the problem is his sound is so distinctive and he never goes away from that formula. Basically what Geoff predicted.

Bored of it already.

    • I'm sure you remember as I do the "Black and White Minstrel Show". These days it's incredible to think that this was considered wholesome family viewing at the time.  There's absolutely no way something like this would fly today.
