2021 Donation Drive

I don't know if the powers that be are going to have a drive this year but if they do maybe adding posts onto people's totals might be a way to influence some to donate.

The more money you donate,the more posts will get added to your total.

The number next to posts in your profile isn't some point system that can be easily artificially increased or decreased. It literally is the number of posts you've made here on the board. There are only 2 ways to change that number:

1. If I delete certain threads or posts and then re-run the scripts that tabulate those numbers.

2. I can manually go into someone's profile and edit that number.

I've only ever edited that number in one profile: mine. I've never (as far as I recall) changed that number in someone else's profile, nor do I think I want to go down that road.

 

That said, I like the thinking out of the box. If anyone has suggestions on how to make the annual donation drive more fun or appealing (that don't involve extensive coding overhauls or other manually laborious tasks), by all means feel free to throw them out there.

Just keep doing what you're doing mate. You've been smashing the posts out lately. It won't take long to build up that total.

How about anyone who donates gets put into a raffle .
