"Songs" of the day today.

"XorigiN - State of the Art" (2011).

I was reminded of this album from a youtube channel I'm subscribed to.

Here's 4 tracks, but I could've posted the whole album TBH.

Killer Stuff!

Some of members are now in different bands these days, e.g. the keyboardist is in Work of Art.

3 from "Hericane Alice - Tear the House Down".

I was lucky enough to have a friend back in the late 80s, early 90s, who had his finger on the pulse with our music.

I don't know how.

Back in the pre Internet days, word of mouth from this guy was golden.

He mentioned these guys to me and the "Bangalore Choir" connection.

This was one of the first albums I bought from a local importer called "Raggamuffin Records".

I'm sure Doggy remembers those guys.

The two "ballads" I've posted are two of my favourites. Pure Hard Rock ballads IMO.

This was the Golden Age.

Belters mate :drink: I used to pick discs(sometimes Cassettes) like this up purely on seeing the cover and song titles...Kerrang had a good helping hand or Hit Parader that my local news agent stocked on import was like a gift from the gods for my music of choice  :)

Yes, do remember Raggamuffin. One of owner's worked in Metal For Melbourne , he later fronted Voodoo Love Cats. Where the other owner uses may disguises on Andrew's noticeboard.

Looking back now, I don't know how we managed to stay in the loop.

Word of mouth, magazines, that was about it.

It's so much easier now.

I guess that shows the passion we all have.

Yeah mate...still at it after all of these years, my Dad used to tell me when I was younger that it was a phase i'd grow out of and i'd listen to real music when I got older(49 now)  he now realizes his words of wisdom were unfonded and fell on deaf ears...well not that deaf cause I need em to listen to the tunes  :)

You're right though that its easier now...but back then pretty much everything was a quality release...now at least you can hear samples and such before making a purchase...or use the Spottys.
