New album 'A New Horizon' out August 27th.

From frontview-magazine.be:

Rapidly rising Scandinavian alt-rock band Smash Into Pieces have announced their brand new album A New Horizon, out August 27th. Their sixth full length album, it explores, expands and concludes the immersive journey they began on previous album ARCADIA both aurally and visually.

A New Horizon continues to detail the band's Arcadia World narrative, delving deeper into their story. A futuristic world riddled with political corruption and driven by fear and misinformation, their story follows Apoc, their protagonist, as he vows to put an end to the dark times and encourage society to seek the truth and live freely. Together with the weaving electronic textures, biting guitars, pounding drums and anthemic vocals, it leaves a lasting impression as a powerful, gripping and thought-provoking album.

Arcadia is a mirror image of reality; the setting may be futuristic and different, but the issues that are buried within the album couldn’t be more real. As the roles of social media and technology grow, we become numb to life beyond our screens, and Smash Into Pieces are encouraging you to look up and see the world around you. We are faced with obstacles, challenges and difficult choices every day, but with positivity and a clear mind we can overcome them and find happiness.

The announcement of A New Horizon follows the release of four adrenaline-fuelled instalments, ‘Rise Up’, ‘Real One’, double single ‘VR’ and the recent thunderous anthem ‘Broken Parts’, each of which is accompanied by a lavish music video that further enhances the Arcadia World narrative.

With a massive track record consisting of five albums, 23 singles, and over 375 million streams and views across platforms, Smash Into Pieces have evolved into one of the fastest rising Scandinavian alternative rock bands to date.

Formed in 2009 and comprised of vocalist Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye, guitarist Benjamin Jennebo, guitarist Per Bergquist and drummer/DJ The Apocalypse DJ, they released their fifth studio album last year which, together with the lyrics accompanying music videos, began to tell the story of a digital world –ARCADIA.

In 2021 that story continues; the story of the resistance and the artificial. This is A New Horizon. Stay tuned for more exciting news and announcements in the near future.

    • I've never heard of them, but Yes comparisons have piqued my interest.
    • What? Now you need to be Christian to appreciate nature? You serious, mate? My two greatest passions are landscape photography and surfing and all that being in nature provides. I live every day in awe of the natural world around us (outside of cities) and that has zero to do with any type of God.
    • One of the only times I will ever say I don't like the gang background vocals.

    • President Joe Biden's approval ratings have hit an all-time low for him at 36%, which is worse than former Presidents Trump and Obama ever had in office.
    • Really looking forward to this one.  I ordered the (2) CD set.  I already have the original TFAWIUTB.
    • No atheist denies love is a thing. It has chemicals that make it happen but that closeness between human beings is clearly a thing and it feels good. It's also an essential part of pair bonding and the raising of the next generation.  You believe in life after death. I do too. I look at it every time I see my children. My part of the cycle of life ends when I stop puffing though.
    • When it comes down to it, it is the love that matters. I feel the love of Christ in my life. I feel the certainty that He loves me. An atheist says that does not exist, it's imaginary. You even deny love to even be a thing, it's a chemical, it has no meaning. You walk outside, you see trees, you hear birdsong, and it means nothing. I see beauty everywhere I go, the beauty of Christ and His creation. I know beauty can be corrupted. I know evil exists. I know there is death. That is free will, baby. A person chooses to do what they do. Do I care if you believe what I know to be true to my core of being? No, not really. It's like someone saying to me "Def Leppard's Pyromania sucks". I know the music moves me and I love it. With Christ in my life it is that feeling x 1000. If it angers you that I have this love, as it seems to for some here, I can only apologise. It would be like not breathing to deny it. If that hurts your feelings cause once upon a time some church or Christian hurt you, I can just say, don't blame God for the followers. Evil appears in every element. Humans are fallible. Humans do bad shit. I am only responsible for my own soul. Do I want God to come down and intervene in every evil? Hell no. I love that we are free to choose. Forcing someone to love you is not love. Also, how about people be responsible for what they choose to do rather than blame God? You say there is nothing but death and darkness at the end. I know this is just a plane of existence and death has lost its sting. Again, I stress, I don't care if you agree or not. I'm not here to judge you. You are free to choose. I just ask for the same courtesy that you accept I don't share your views and that you can move past your hatred for that choice (not all on this site, just some).
    • Probably the wisest thing said on this thread.  Realistically, we're all in this position.
