This is working out great wouldn't you agree, what was I thinking changing my vote to Trump this last election? If I'd have known what I was missing, I'd have jumped on the Biden bandwagon, gonna enjoy having outrageous amounts of taxes taken out here shortly, not to mention all the mass illegals who hopefully will be showing up where I'm at first, since im 2 states away from the border, and I especially love the fact it's beginning to look like I'm correct, AGAIN!! about where the Covid really originated and why(you cheeky bat eaters), and we aren't even 90 days into this shit show, wonder how Perth is right now, maybe it's time to get gone, Aussie friends? should I make that move? BTW, you anti- trump folk are absolute geniuses! I have got to find out who your going for in 2022, so we can make sure we keep the most extreme left government in the world in power.

No real comment from me.

Thank christ that when the election ended, so did pretty much most US news.
Australia doesn't really seem to care that much any more.
We had our time (like the rest of the world) to take a ride with the Trump side show, but then the politics just got boring again.

Taxes, immigration, probably health care, gun rights will be back soon.

Since Perth was mentioned, it should be noted that the leader of Western Australia was just re-elected in a MASSIVE majority.
This dude is obviously pretty well regarded by his people for the way he handled the covid shit.
They are saying that the chances of him being able to lose power at the next election in 4 years will be pretty remote because of the massive majority he currently holds.

But yeah, one thing missing from the US election was talk about the actual issues lol
It was all Twitter, and "will Biden live through his term" and riots, and black lives, etc, etc
I guess that's the same everywhere, but you guys really got it on steroids, and nobody seemingly cared too much about the real issues that you discuss going into an election :(

What's happening in 2022?

There's what is called midterm elections.

Basically the House of Representatives is a 2 year term so all 435 seats are up for election.

Also there will be a few senate seats also up for election.

Stock market closed today at an all time high !

Since you make $400,000 a year I'd guess that you invest in the stock market.

I never said how much I made a year, did I? What does that have to do with anything, because someone makes a certain amount of money doesn't include or exclude them in the stock market, i have a brother who's made grips of money in stocks, he's a police officer, I have made some very wise investments, in restaurants, in a company that developed a new liner that covers golf balls, in a few recording studios, and in 1 mastering studio, and I'm a quarter owner of ZU Audio,  Ive also made a lot that Ive lost my ass on, but what does any of this have to do with anything at hand? obviously I'm not a huge stock market guy.

Are you guys trying to fucking shame me or be confrontational or what??? because I never said how much I make, Dead Planet slapped that shit on here, none of you will ever know what I make, cause frankly it's none of your fucking business, and none of you know what i do or don't do with my money, but im about to tell you, just because I don't feel like handing my hard earned money over to mother fuckers who don't feel like working doesn't mean im a snob, or a fucking douche bag, no you don't have to say it, but  I do give generously to things and causes I truly believe in, like the Wounded Warrior Project, United Cancer Foundation, Children's Defense Fund, and National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, I also volunteer at the Salvation Army on thanksgiving, so you fags need to go down, town and volunteer at your local Salvation Army, but anyways yeah, good try guys, what if I did make whatever amount you put out there? does that make me a lesser person? would I be a better person if I did the $20,000 a year deal? Jesus Fucking Christ,

Now how bout you guys answer the original question, how Is life under Biden better for you then it was under Trump, be specific.I'm waiting, no generic responses either, I'd like a few details, so I can match them with mine, and I need some talking points for when I argue this on other boards. Thanks.

Let me go back to my original comment.

Historically when the 3 branches of government are under the democrats ruling the stock market has gone up 14.5 %

Yes,I have some money invested in stocks, mostly mutual funds.

While I do hate the fact that 10% of the population own 80% of the stocks at this stage of my life it seems to be the only game in town.

Or do you think that I should make a large wager on the Jazz being the NBA Champions ???

I'm not certain what you expect Biden to do in 60 days but he did pass a nice piece of legislation.

One of the aspects of it is that the first $20,400 a married couple received in unemployment will not be taxed.

Since both me and my wife received benefits that will be a big plus when we file our taxes(which we have until May 17 now, which is another plus for us !

Not that it's related to what you want but it's nice not to see the grifter family every day.Has any of Trump's kids got a job on their own? Jared Kushner a senior advisor ??

Plus the other minions are gone like Peter Navarro and Larry Kudlow to name a couple.

Well I love em, and I aint that stupid, LOL, I didn't buy season tickets this year cause of the BLM thing, it still really irritates me, that and they only have the low bowl open, and I'll tell ya right now, I cant afford those seats, even know my neighbor can, and takes me occasionally, Ive also bought Rockies, and A's season tickets, but I didn't this year, it's a little irritating, Thank God I'm in an extremely red state, where nothing really changed all that much, it was extremely stressful because I had just barely started getting a return on a restaurant I'd gotten behind here in Ogden, and that has been a scary ride since I made the hesitant decision to say yes, being it was a chick I used to go out with, and her husband has already started up an extremely successful indoor golfing range, and the restaurant is adjacent to it, but if we'd been in a blue state, I'd have been beyond bad shape, there's no way it could have shut down and stayed open.

So because somebody has worked their ass off, progressed in life, and happened to amass a large wealth from their labors, they should be penalized for doing it? I know if I was a millionaire I sure wouldnt want my government penalizing me for doing it, you act like all rich people are greedy, believe it or not some rich people have worked hard, and honestly to make sure their family, kids, loved ones are taken care of if something were to happen to them, so instead we should reward the dope heads(I was one)the dregs of society, the people who can work fine, they just would rather not? you believe you should take from people that work, and give it to people who dont? I think theres a name for that, It's just missing off the top of my head?? hum???? Then whats anyones incentive to work hard and get ahead? do you hand your check out to the homeless? I mean you do that right? since it's okay to hand other peoples money out to everyone.

Whats he supposed to do in 60 days, let me think, OH! damn I almost forgot, the little get together going on at the border, he managed to start a human crisis at our southern border in 60 days, and nobody can blame that shit on trump, not even the goons in the media, thats purely on old Joe, and it is a very big fucking deal, now their catching people from Yemen, Syria, etc trying to get in, you know those countrys who are all so fond of us and our lifestyle, so I'm a pretty socially liberal dude, but not a left wing wack job, the best analogy i ever heard was , do you have locks on your front door? of course you do, so what are those locks for? BTW that was a great trip he had on the stairs up to AF1, he fell upstairs, dont believe ive seen someone fall up a flight of stairs before, if that were Trump, the media would have gone ape shit. But I know your so fucking far away from the border, this doesnt effect you, but like I said, im 1 state away from the border, where do you think they go? not New York, not many your way up there.

    • My first live experience was D-A-D on April 22, 1995, at a venue which had a capacity of 6000 people. It was on their Helpyourselfish tour, and every song from that album was included on a setlist consisting of 24 songs. They were at the height of their career both musically and popularity-wise. I've seen them about 15 times, but this April night was something special.
    • I thought you hate Synthwave. Why did you buy The Midnight?
    • shame you missed Skid Row. They were great back then
    • Almost impossible to separate my top 10 as most could easily swap position (especially 1 & 2 !!). But I gave it a go. 1. Threshold - Dividing Lines Only just recently released but this was always going to be a huge album for me. 5 yrs since the release of Shires but the wait was worth it. This is a masterpiece in my opinion - melody, lyrics, vocals, musicianship, hooks all amazing. 2. Ghost - Imperia For a long while this was top of the pack and was definitely my most listened to album of 2022. The last 2 Ghost albums were amazing and this is no different. Great production, arrangements - this something really different and unique. Best gig of 2022 as well - their show at London O2 was stunning 3. Muse - Will of the People Biggest surprise of the year. Never would have imagined that a Muse album would feature in my best of list let alone end up no 3!! Easily their best album to date , love every track. Short at just 37 mins, but I love that. No filler, all killer album. Brilliant lyrics and subject matter as well 4. VHS Collection - Night Drive Never has an album title been so accurate. This album is made for night time driving - just an awesome vibe, brilliant songs. Top job all round 5. Alter Bridge - Pawns & Kings Monumental metal album. Dark, deep lyrically, crunching Tremonti riffs. Love it. 6 Kissin Dynamite - Not The End of the Road Another surprise for me. Never been the biggest KD fan but man they nailed it on this. Barely a filler in sight and easily the best pure melodic rock album of 2022 7. Degreed - Are You Ready Another top quality album from one of my fav bands. Really hate the song Radio though which keeps this out of the top 5 8. Dan Reed Network - Let's Hear it for the King I do dearly love this album, and agonised a bit over its placing, but the albums above are just too good. Massive return to form and I pretty much love every track with 'I See Angels' probably bring my fav ballad of 2022 9. Cats in Space - Kickstart the Sun Another album which could be top 5 on any given day. Just a couple of weaker tracks pull it down slightly but stuff like the title track & Smoke & Mirrors are top drawer. Brilliant vocals as well. 10. Iron Allies - Blood In Blood Out Late addition to my top 10 but my God this album is awesome! Best thing Reece has been on in years and old school metal album of the year imo. Just crunching metal and sensational solos. Go to gym album So now we come to honourable mentions - in no order - all v good albums in their own right : Reckless Love - excellent attempt at synthwave Chez Kane - another great 80s throwback Skid Row - Erik breaths new life into old dogs Palace - great bunch of feel good songs Crashdiet - best album since GW Treat - more great modern melodic rock Black Swan - better than the debut Ultraboss - v nice synthwave album Ronnie Atkins - Bit of a dip but still v nice Young Gun Silver Fox - best Westcoast 2022 Do there you go, 20 great albums which I would recommend. I really good year in music with a few surprises for me. 👍
    • Up until 2007 only local bands performing cover songs. 2008, my first ever international experience and it was an awesome one. It was Mr.Big's reunion tour.
    • New video for 'LARP'. From Frontiers: Infinite & Divine, a collaboration between two Swedish musicians, guitarist/songwriter/producer Jan Åkesson and vocalist Tezzi (a/k/a Terese Persson), will release their sophomore album, "Ascendancy" on February 10, 2023.  In the summer of 2019, Jan and Tezzi first encountered one another and shortly after that set to work on writing songs for what would ultimately become their debut album, ”Silver Lining”. Said album was a fantastic combination of Jan’s energetic heavy riffs, the influences of their varied taste in melodic hard rock and metal, and Tezzi’s melodic, yet powerful vocals. "Ascendancy" sees the two taking that songwriting formula and building upon it to craft an even more thrilling and energetic album, highlighting all their strengths.  Terese "Tezzi" Persson started her musical career doing local troubadour gigs at the age of 17, but before that had already started writing her own songs and lyrics. Over the years, she has appeared in different musical projects both as a lead singer in metal and progressive rock bands, as well as doing backup vocals for various Swedish artists. In 2013, she also appeared on the second album, “Fantasmagoria,” from Epysode (featuring Mike Lepond of Symphony X, Simone Mularoni of DGM, and Tom Englund of Evergrey among others). In 2021, she partnered up with four other stunning lead vocalists in the pop metal outfit Venus 5, whose self-titled debut album was released in June 2022.  Jan Åkesson started out as a songwriter while also appearing as lead guitarist in several bands, before he decided to step back from the live scene to focus on writing and producing songs. He started the band StoneLake, who released seven studio albums, while at the same time writing songs for other artists around the world, all who were performing different styles of music. In 2017, he also released the album ”Ascension” by his solo project Shadow Rain.  The band’s music is extremely tasteful, and the listeners will enjoy very good moments with songs as “I Feel Alive” (a modern feeling similar to what can be found on AMARANTHE’s works, but with precious melodies and great vocals), the 80’s hooking melodies of “Infinite & Divine” and “Not Too Late”, the melodic Hard Rock appeal shown on “Wasteland” and “We Are One”, the tender and precious harmonies of “You and I” and “While You’re Looking for Love” (this one has the same appeal of heavier songs of DEF LEPPARD’s “Hysteria”) are the ones to become the favorite tracks for the fans. But the entire album is great, so enjoy it. - Metal Temple “Silver Lining” runs the proverbial gamut, touching upon a bevy of metal subgenres while delivering consistently memorable riffs and some pretty impressive lead work. For her part, Persson's vocals elevate much of the material here, adding a soulful, 'human' quality.... - Sonic Perspectives ‘Silver Lining’ is an absolute powerhouse of an album and well worth a listen. - Metal Planet Music Tracklisting:1. • First gig was Motley Crue at Birmingham NEC in 1989 with White Lion & Skid Row supporting. I was 14. My 2 uncle's took me so I knew a few weeks in advance and was listening to 'Dr Feelgood' & 'Girls, Girls, Girls' in prep. We didn't arrive in time to see Skid Row. I didn't know them at the time or thus what i was missing. This was the show were Vince through a tantrum and threw his mic into the crowd and walked off - though he/they did return to finish. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/motley-crue/1989/nec-arena-birmingham-england-2bd7446a.html
    • Growing up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, there was no concert scene, and only classical music was permitted to be played in my house, so it wasn't until I left for college in 1984 that I had an opportunity to see any acts... but that first year was a good one. Over that Thanksgiving break I stayed with a guy in Michigan where I got to see Armored Saint and Whitesnake opening for Quiet Riot (RIP Kevin Dubrow). The following summer back in PA I went to what is to date the biggest concert event I've ever attended: Live Aid at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. Physically, the most miserable concert experience ever, as it was almost 100 degrees and I got dehydrated and sunburned like a mofo. That was the first time I ever saw huge video screens (where they played the acts performing at Wembley Stadium in the UK). When I went back to college that fall semester, I saw Y&T opening for Motley Crue on the Theater of Pain tour at Richfield Colisseum in Cleveland. It's both a shame and a good thing that cellphones with cameras didn't exist to capture the events... -Dan
    • wowser, great story. And to see Phil as well. Never saw Lizzy or Lynott solo
    • Yeah the tracks on California Metal were amazing. Had no idea they recorded more.
