Talisman - Talisman (1990)

This was my first taste of JSS and I've been a huge fan ever since.

Has there been an individual artist that's contributed more to our music? I don't think so.

So many incredible projects.

It's a tragedy that Marcel Jacob is no longer with us. What a team they made!

To this day I still listen to at least one track or so on a weekly basis with my playlist on shuffle.

Yep a really good release although the rest of their catalogue is very underwhelming IMO....

I love Genesis, both Humanimal albums, Life and Truth. I might have to create a best of (IMO) thread.

I haven't given their last two albums much of a go.

I have it and I have heard it, but there's so much to keep on top of. I'll have to revisit and give it the attention it deserves.

I’ve always been a fan of Talisman but it’s only been in the last couple of years that it ‘clicked’. Truly awesome band. 

I also always thought that Genesis just pipped the debut but after extended listens of them both back to back for the past few months I’m leaning towards the 1990 effort. ‘Queen’ is a killer hard rock song. 

I need to give more time to the ‘7’ album. I’ll give that a spin tonight.

To this day I think the acapella lead-in to I'll Be Waiting is one of the best intros ever.

My first exposure to JSS' vocals was the excellent Eyes S/T album.

Love the debut,fantastic disc,grabbed it after seeing "Just Between Us" video on MTV...have tried really hard with the others but they just never clicked,Genesis is probably my next fav but I love the cover of Seal's "Crazy" from "Life"

Am a huge fan of this album - not so much the others.  JSS is hit and miss for me.  He sings on a lot of stuff I like but I tend to wish someone else was singing.

I remember back when 7 dropped. I wasn't impressed. So I never gave any of their other material a chance, but after listening to a couple tracks here it appears I need to. Maybe even revisit 7.
