Another one that I'm sure we all know and love. I've also posted the four bonus tracks from the 2011 re-release. This is as close to perfect as you can get. The production on this and the follow up is the only (very) slight nitpick.

His second album is great too, but this one is very special to me. Very high rotation back in the day.

I was already a huge fan of his albums when I found out he was the new D2 frontman.

I've grown to love "Dawn", but it was a slight disappointment at the time. D2 and Paul certainly got back on track after that.

Paul Laine has been in the business for quite a while now. I find it strange that he only has two solo albums and his last one was 25 years ago! C'mon Frontiers! Even a re-recording with better production would be great.

It's a travesty that only a relatively small amount of people such as ourselves are aware of this album, but I kinda like that.  ;)

Awesome album. Love Paul’s voice and his various projects. How good is the outro to We Are The Young??

Love the D2 Cockroach version with Paul also. For that to stand up to the Poley version is no mean feat.
Of course The Defiants are killer too!

Yeah a very good disc, nice to hear it again, don't have those bonus tracks as mine is the Elektra release, must check them out.Enjoyed his "Can't Get Enuff" disc also along with his Defiants work, was never massive on his DD stuff, yes he's a great singer, but I prefer the Ted stuff if i'm honest, still nothing wrong with the Paul stuff either.

It'd be impossible not to love this album. More or less everything I love about melodic rock, and 'Dorianna' will always be one of my favourite songs, even if I understand that Paul himself is not the biggest fan. Killer disc. 'We are the young,' 'Heart of a America,' 'Is it love' and 'I'll be there,' though... all pure class.

I'm sure I have those bonus tracks but 'Only your heart' doesn't ring a bell. Must double-check - immense.

Incredible album, full of passion. "Dorianna" is THE summer night drive anthem for me, so majestic!

I think the production is fine btw, it maybe sounds a little dated but it's not like it doesn't do the music justice. I'd much rather leave it alone as re-recordings rarely accomplish anything other than sucker dedicated fans out of money.

A must have in your collection.

Remember reading an interview with Paul, " Can't Get Enuff' were just demos that didn't make " Stick, etc " not a second album.

Yeah, still a great album, but the production is very poor on that one.

    • Overall a bit let down by this album Nothing that really makes me want to turn it up and blast loud, just an ok album full of ok to good songs.
    • Yep, agree. Came up in my YouTube feed today and I like it. Great clip as well. Need to explore this mand more, only been in and out of their stuff a few times. Seems a bit hit and miss, but with a lot of real gems along the way.
    • 'Tis indeed. Will be nice to have it all wrapped up in a sweet, sexy package. Except for the remixes...
    • The EP is the other singles they have released this year plus Heartbeats and a couple of remixes.
    • Jeez this dude seemed to be releasing music once a fortnight not too long ago, but it's been some space between, ay?  This is actually a surprisingly good, big catchy melodic rocker. Didn't expect it - nice stuff.
    • And in the most unsurprising news ever, it's awesome. Love it completely.  And is it mentioned elsewhere that this coincides with the release of a new EP called 'Hope?' https://lebrock.bandcamp.com/album/hope?from=fanpub_nfb
    • Album out March 31. From Lions Pride Music: Stellar Veil is a melodic hard rock band hailing from Athens, Greece. Formed in 2021 by members departing from the Melodic Hard Rock band Hideaway, the group sought to carve a niche that melded the heavier elements of hard rock with the melodic finesse of classic AOR. Their sound is described as heavier than traditional AOR yet more melodic than classic metal (Melodic Hard & Heavy), reflecting a unique blend of influences from the 80s hard rock and heavy metal era with a contemporary twist. Stellar Veil’s music captures the nostalgic essence of 80s hard rock and heavy metal, yet it is infused with a modern approach. Their compositions are characterized by soaring vocals, melodic guitar riffs, and dynamic keyboard arrangements, balanced with a heavier rock attitude. The band aims to offer listeners a blend of the old and new, bridging the gap between the timeless appeal of classic rock and the fresh sounds of contemporary hard rock. With their distinctive blend of melodic and hard-hitting sounds, Stellar Veil is carving out a unique identity in the world of hard rock. Their music is a testament to their passion for rock and their commitment to evolving as artists, making them a band to watch in the coming years. Stellar Veil is: Jon Soti: Vocals  Dimitris Paloudis: Guitars John Kontos: Bass Peter Papadimatos: Keys Harris Freeman: Drums Track list: 1. Safely Chained 2. To Mend A Broken Heart 3. • Cool interview with their lead singer, John Cooper. Bit of a surprise to see this one come up today. I enjoy Zuby's content and have been a subscriber of his channel since around 2020 in my efforts to comfort myself in the fact that I wasn't the only one in the world being completely twilight zoned by covid. But I've found him to be a level-headed, logical dude and apart from being a massive christian (like all the rest of them, lol), I find sense in a lot of what he says.  And I found out along the way that this dude from Skillet (apart, again, from being a massive christian, lol), is like-minded and actually a real stand up dude.  Funny how musically speaking, I'd take Skid Row's music ten days and fifteen back around over Skillet's, but as a human being, I have zero respect for Bach and all the respect in the world for this dude. Anyway, interesting interview and it even touches on Skillet's music more than I thought it would. As for the new album, it's Skillet, again. 100% up and down, just, Skillet.
