Shit! I remember loving that Counterfeit song by Framing Hanley when it was posted here on HH. But that was it. I somehow completely forgot to check out the album along the way. What a song! Last minute entry into my fave songs of the year list. 

Never heard of Landfall either. No Way Out is a killer. Will check it out.

Yep, and I am - of course - 100% correct. And I think I even had this in the back of my head as I was posting. So, in a nutshell - I am correct and 'Magic Trick' shouldn't actually be in this list at all. 

The reason why it did make me bend the rules was... if I hear a single, generally speaking, I listen to the soundbyte once and then wait for the album before I spin it ever again. For whatever reason - probably because it's one of the actual best songs I've ever heard - I put 'Magic Trick' straight on my 2020 playlist and have played it at least a few times per week since I first heard it. So it was in every sense the majority part of my 2020 soundtrack. 

Still doesn't excuse my error, but that's it explained.

Been listening to that Patrick Droney tune for a couple years, now. It's so good, but I haven't heard anything else he's done that's on par with it. I should check out that live video you posted.
