Another no skip album IMO.

This was a complete unknown for me when I got it back in the day. Never heard of them before and the name was a bit dodgy, but when I saw it was produced by Steve Plunkett,  I had to take the risk. I'm glad that I did because this is one of my favourites. Just good party rock.

"Stop Breakin' My Broken Heart" is the standout for me.

Listen at least once a week, Stop Breakin My Broken Heart and Her Body Compliments The Beat are some of the greatest shit ever, the whole cd is imo a fucking brilliant masterpiece, and its mind blowing how it could just be so great and never be noticed??

Autograph Jr. I believe Plunkett cowrote every song, produced and did backing vocals and Rich Cox even sounds like him at times. Great album! No Plunkett around for their second cd and it shows. Hair bands were out and they adjusted their sound. Nonetheless I still love the song Crushin Velvet on album #2.

Yeah, Plunkett was definitely the magic ingredient on this one.

I remember when the first album came out, one of the UK rock/metal mags did a write up on the band and the headline of the article was "Sons of Ratt" ... I can't remember exactly why they came up with that headline, but I do remember how much they focussed on the Autograph connection.

I just don't understand how this never got a bigger push on release? I was jocking at a rock station, this never hit my radar until the internet was prevalent, this is definitely a sad case, as it's radio friendly, what a fantastic fucking cd

Because it came out way too late in 1993. Grunge had already taken hold by then, and even the bigger bands were struggling by then, so a new band had no chance. Plus the label it was on wasn't exactly a big deal (and sure it was a European label, so not even sure it was ever officially released in America, just imported).

That would make sense, about the era and shit, but even right before I got fired, was about 95 or 96, we were still getting really off shit, I remember literally 2 weeks b4 I got shit canned, we got and started playing both Can You Move Me by SingSing, and Veterans Song by Sundogs, that SingSing disc couldnt even be found in the stores, it was so small and obscure, that was when it was a new release, so IDK how this never even got brought up word of mouth if anything, Like when we played Blue Tears, I was instantly fanatical, but outside of the immediate people I knew, and other jocks, it was unknown, just fucking weird how shit that should be completely known, isnt, and fucking garbage is known and everywhere.

I always got a huge "Danger Danger" vibe from these guys.

If this was released in '89 (D2 debut) or even '91 (Screw It), then it may have been a different story. They were about 3 or 4 years too late.

Exactly. You think of all those new bands that were released from 91/92 onwards, most of them sank without a trace or tried to dip their toes into grunge/alternative (Wildside and Sven Gali). While they might be known in our circles, the general public will have never even heard of them, and their sales were not exactly setting the charts alight.

89 or maybe 90 was probably the last year for new band success, and the only bands that had any kind of success in 91/92 were established bands, then 93/94 was where it all went wrong.

Yep, another great one. 'Stop breaking my broken heart' is also the pick for me. Such a killer cut. But it's a really good album and I agree - the second one is a massive disappointment.

    • This whole transgender sport thing is a joke IMO....I mean who really cares who or what is competing in the Olympics these days, most of them are on performance drugs of one kind or another anyway....half the women look like men and some of the men look like women depending on which sport they are competing in....I just don't give a fuck anymore....I watch NHL, MLB and NFL....they can put women or transgender in any of those leagues and I'll have a good laugh....
    • Firstly, thank you for those kind words. I was moved.  Secondly, yeah, the whole transgender sport issue is a disgrace. I honestly can't understand how it's allowed.  Joe Rogan's been calling this shit out from day one.
    • just feeling very emotional right now, and wanted to let all my HH brothers know how I feel, without being offensive or getting cancelled,  I just wanted to tell you guys that your all Fags and if you were any bigger pillow biters, you'd have to have your wrists permanently set in the limp position, especially you G-Off, I noticed since you met that new guy you dont even come on here anymore, must be getting to much weenie, anyways, your all homos, and queers, and I wouldn't be surprised to find out your all chicks with dicks, especially the wops and nips, but I think your all Crackers so I dont have to bring race into this, well that and im not a dumbocrat, Nolan I dont know if you or G-Off take more weenie, but it would be interesting to compare stats, anyways if you cant tell I had to unload this somewhere since I just got my Twitter account banned for saying that these faggot transgendered people, who are fucking men, should be able to compete against woman, in sports, cause it's pretty obvious nobody who could compete in athletics against their own gender, have to go compete in a lower level, I mean if they ever want to feel victory, isnt that why anyone would want to be a man and compete against a woman? sorry im lost, i cannot even guess the mindset behind that, you can dress like a fag and still compete against dudes, right?
    • Yay! Also one of the best guitarists, you get lots of people that copy Vai, Malmsteen, EVH e.t.c. and do it superbly well but never seen anyone come close to getting Steve Howes style. Although on recent live albums (less said about them the better)  it sounds like he has slowed a lot from his heyday.

    • People need to be held accountable for their actions, regardless where your at on the planet, when people start being excluded for various things they have done or not done in which the rest of us are punished if we were to do them, then the balance of civilization starts to tip, and when that happens those who do still get punished, eventually level the playing field back out for everyone else.
    • seriously?? you think S&S is BETTER then Swords Metallized??? WOW! thats a brave statement bro, I cant think of many albums better then Metallized, but I guess it's really kind of apples and oranges considering their not even kind of the same style of music, but still as much as I loved S&S, and i really do, We Belong is one of my all time fav songs, I could never say it's a better complete album then Metallized.
