From blabbermouth.net:

Canadian progressive rockers SAGA will release a new studio album, "Symmetry", on March 12, 2021 via earMUSIC.

After going on tour in spring 2020, SAGA went straight into its home studios. The result: an album full of acoustic originals.

"Symmetry" offers a unique listening experience by bundling complex and delicate arrangements with familiar melodies and sounds. It gives the listener the possibility to explore and discover SAGA classics like "Wind Him Up", "Say Goodbye To Hollywood" and "Tired World" once more and in a completely new way.

SAGA managed to create more than just new versions of their songs; they created a sonic world full of little details that invites the listeners to dive deeper into the complex musical phenomenon that is SAGA.

Ian Crichton states about the album: "After opening for 'ourselves' on our 2017 European tour acoustically, the decision to record an acoustic record was born. This is different SAGA, everyone! We invited, from Ontario, Canada, Shane Cook on fiddle, and Stefany Seki, Beth Silver on cello to accompany us on our offside interpretation of music we've played for years. [We] had a lot of fun doing so!

"Acoustic SAGA!?!?!... It's like construction work for an electric guitar player."

"Symmetry" will be available as a CD jewelcase, 2LP gatefold and as a digital download.

    • First song I ever heard by D.A.D. was ZCMI which was playing on an interview section of one of the Hard and heavy VHS magazine tapes. It was enough for me to go out and buy No fuel.
    • For real! I'm definitely grateful for Spongebob introducing me to this banger!
    • Well it definitely motivated Spongebob
    • I love motivational hair metal songs, so I figured I'll create a thread for people share them. Here are a few of my favorites: "Don't Surrender" by Mercury   "Overnight Sensation" by Firehouse   "Sweet Victory" by David Glen Eisley and Bob Kulick
    • New album out January 24. From Pride & Joy Music: UK guitarist and songwriter Neil Fraser previously has worked/recorded with the likes of TEN, Rage of Angels/Ged Rylands (Tyketto), Tony Mills (TNT, SHY). Trishula started out as Neil’s solo project back in 2015.    Fraser had previously worked with Welsh vocalist Jason Morgan in the band Rage of Angels, so Jason was Neil’s first choice for lead vocal duties when it came to assembling the band members for Trishula. It took another 4 years of song writing from 2015 before the debut album ‘Scared to breathe’ was released in 2019. Whilst recording the debut, the UK based group were joined by Neil’s long-time friend and MAGNUM keyboard player Rick Benton and bass player Dan Clark from the Rebecca Downes Band. One year after the release of the debut, Trishula released their second album ‘Time waits for no man’ in 2020. It was at this point that Neil Ogden (DEMON) became their new drummer. A third album, ‘We all fall down’, was released in 2022.   The brand new fourth CD is titled ‘Becoming the enemy’ and the first one to be released on the band’s new label Pride & Joy Music.
    • My introduction to the band...way back when
    • Well that took far too long to kick in for me,its ok and he has an amazing voice...just wish he'd get a great song given to him again
    • This one popped up in my rotation today as it does frequently because I fucking love this track.  It contains killer lines like, "From the pale lips of the youth who lay", "After dark is the game I play" and "I hit the sack when the Sun's coming back". I've also added a video of an acoustic performance I came across years ago by some young "buskers", which is AWESOME! I wonder how many of you know this classic from the lines above before clicking on the "hidden content"? I would guess most.
    • Robban Back was their studio drummer
