Today we got the first F***ing snow. I'm so angry. I've been cheated out of fall & now it's several months of this crap. I'm also really jealous of my sisters and people on thepetrazone because on thepetrazone a guy told us about the concert I wanted to go to in Missouri, but it's an 11 hr drive, so we didn't (I wasn't even sure when it was rescheduled and I have no money soo) . And my second oldest sister is taking my third oldest sister and my mom to see REO Speedwagon next October Without Me! My third oldest sister doesn't even listen to them where I do, at least more than her, but they're best friends so she's taking her instead. Anyway I'm a lemon and I felt like giving y'all a taste of my juice. Nothing to make lemonade with anyhow.

Different areas of town, both close to my house, one of a beautiful fall day, the other of today's shit weather. And you probably suspect I'm a 30 year old even more because I said "unchristian" things or whatever, but I'm really mad right now, so I say things or think things I wouldn't normally.

Firstly, for a split second, when I saw the thread title this sprang to mind. Quite a huge early "one hit wonder" 90s track.

Secondly, I'm so thankful that snow isn't really a thing to deal with down here. I can't imagine what a pain it would be. It looks beautiful, but but I know how frustrating it is when you have ice on your windscreen in the morning, but the thought of shoveling snow to get out of my driveway in the morning disgusts me.

As for the REO Speedwagon thing. What a kick in the guts!. It's still a year away. Plenty of time to plead your case.

At least I don't have to drive in it. But for REO Speedwagon, I'm not saying anything. If she wanted me along she would've said so

Ah, the white Canadian reggae artist! His collaboration with Daddy Yankee last year was supposed to kick-start his comeback. I guess it didn't. Or maybe he made so much money off it he didn't need to?

Also, yes, snow sucks.

I enjoy driving in it, but most people don't know what to do in snow. Accidents everywhere. Stuck behind fuckos. On top of that, it only looks beautiful for maybe a day. And then they salt, and plow, and the "Winter Wonderland" is just different shades of brown. And let's not even get into the damage it can do to my garden.

I'm sorry you have to deal with it so early, @PetraGirl86.

Every time she comes in my room, I'd be playing REO Speedwagon. Maybe she'll get the message.

My gosh- she doesn't even live in my house anymore she moved out months ago what the heck was I thinking? I literally thought about doing this today then remembered she isn't even here she's an hour and a half away 🤣

My wife and I drove our kids about four hours each way (traffic was atrocious) to see a tiny bit of snow earlier this year.

I wish there was a place I could easily go to and photograph the snow, but I'm sure it'd bite ass to actually deal with it near home as I hate winter as it is already.

People without snow wish there was snow; people with it wish there wasn't.

Spot on young lady.  Except for a few of my years while in the Military Ive always lived where there is cold & snow every winter. I FU*KING hate winter!! The cold, the snow, the ice, the shoveling, driving in it, scraping windows.  If my job didnt pay so well I would move to someplace that doesnt have it in a heartbeat!! You have to love doing things in the snow to be anywhere near it!! ;)

I love Minnesota otherwise (aside from the boringness of rural areas) because it's kinda nice, and the snow is pretty, but it's so cold and not expected until this month, but in October it was upsetting. Thankfully we have an Indian Summer coming before the real snow comes

I was sweating in my jean jacket and long sleeves on Saturday! Now it's cold and rainy and just your typical November… sad huh. But like you said, Christmas needs snow.

We just got slammed with a snow storm ! Not happy about it !

We got lucky in Baltimore.

Snowed about 3 inches, turned to sleet and then heavy rain.

Last night it went back from rain to sleet and finished with a half inch of snow.

Yikes… I don't know what's going on but we haven't had snow since early November! Even now!

This is also the REO Speedwagon topic, and I found out awhile ago that it's only 18+ since it's at a Casino, so I couldn't go anyway ☹️

I don't think they'd card you. I took all my nephews into the Casino's in Atlantic City and they all were under 18. Nobody said a word.

    • Overall a bit let down by this album Nothing that really makes me want to turn it up and blast loud, just an ok album full of ok to good songs.
    • Yep, agree. Came up in my YouTube feed today and I like it. Great clip as well. Need to explore this mand more, only been in and out of their stuff a few times. Seems a bit hit and miss, but with a lot of real gems along the way.
    • 'Tis indeed. Will be nice to have it all wrapped up in a sweet, sexy package. Except for the remixes...
    • The EP is the other singles they have released this year plus Heartbeats and a couple of remixes.
    • Jeez this dude seemed to be releasing music once a fortnight not too long ago, but it's been some space between, ay?  This is actually a surprisingly good, big catchy melodic rocker. Didn't expect it - nice stuff.
    • And in the most unsurprising news ever, it's awesome. Love it completely.  And is it mentioned elsewhere that this coincides with the release of a new EP called 'Hope?' https://lebrock.bandcamp.com/album/hope?from=fanpub_nfb
    • Album out March 31. From Lions Pride Music: Stellar Veil is a melodic hard rock band hailing from Athens, Greece. Formed in 2021 by members departing from the Melodic Hard Rock band Hideaway, the group sought to carve a niche that melded the heavier elements of hard rock with the melodic finesse of classic AOR. Their sound is described as heavier than traditional AOR yet more melodic than classic metal (Melodic Hard & Heavy), reflecting a unique blend of influences from the 80s hard rock and heavy metal era with a contemporary twist. Stellar Veil’s music captures the nostalgic essence of 80s hard rock and heavy metal, yet it is infused with a modern approach. Their compositions are characterized by soaring vocals, melodic guitar riffs, and dynamic keyboard arrangements, balanced with a heavier rock attitude. The band aims to offer listeners a blend of the old and new, bridging the gap between the timeless appeal of classic rock and the fresh sounds of contemporary hard rock. With their distinctive blend of melodic and hard-hitting sounds, Stellar Veil is carving out a unique identity in the world of hard rock. Their music is a testament to their passion for rock and their commitment to evolving as artists, making them a band to watch in the coming years. Stellar Veil is: Jon Soti: Vocals  Dimitris Paloudis: Guitars John Kontos: Bass Peter Papadimatos: Keys Harris Freeman: Drums Track list: 1. Safely Chained 2. To Mend A Broken Heart 3. Diamonds To Dust 4. Feel The Pain 5. A Thousand And One Nights 6. Sign Of Times 7. Cross The Line 8. Calling The World 9. Final Stand
    • New song 'Sanctimonarium'. "The Empyrean Equation Of The Long Lost Things" Tracklist: 1. The Empyrean Equation Of The Long Lost Things 2. My Icarian Flight 3. Sanctimonarium 4. The Sacrilegious Mind Machine 5. They Call Me God 6. March Of The Saints Line Up: Andy Kuntz – Vocals Stephan Lill – Guitars Andreas Lill – Drums Alessandro Del Vecchio – Keyboards Torsten Reichert - Bass
    • Cool interview with their lead singer, John Cooper. Bit of a surprise to see this one come up today. I enjoy Zuby's content and have been a subscriber of his channel since around 2020 in my efforts to comfort myself in the fact that I wasn't the only one in the world being completely twilight zoned by covid. But I've found him to be a level-headed, logical dude and apart from being a massive christian (like all the rest of them, lol), I find sense in a lot of what he says.  And I found out along the way that this dude from Skillet (apart, again, from being a massive christian, lol), is like-minded and actually a real stand up dude.  Funny how musically speaking, I'd take Skid Row's music ten days and fifteen back around over Skillet's, but as a human being, I have zero respect for Bach and all the respect in the world for this dude. Anyway, interesting interview and it even touches on Skillet's music more than I thought it would. As for the new album, it's Skillet, again. 100% up and down, just, Skillet.
