Forgotten Hard Rock Albums: MONSTER "Through The Eyes Of The World" (1995)

Recommended Posts

Another in my series of forgotten hard rock albums.

Many probably have never heard this killer album. Featuring the rhythm section of killer underrated band MALICE, Mick Zane (guitars) and Mark Behn (bass) and the drumming of an ex-Black 'N Blue member Pete Holmes, this was a blind purchase for me. While containing it's fair share of fillers, the standout tracks really make this a must have.

Some of my favs:

Like you, I took a chance when I see some of players who played on it, so I bought.
I don't play it regularly, but I can say it that I have got it.

I picked this one up many years ago after hearing 'One Night' which reminded me of Lynch Mob.Good Max Norman production job too. RIP Mick Zane.

A balance album but not really great. I like 'Spirit of The Night', 'South Side Billy', and 'Get Over It'. Plus point is I don't see any crappy songs at all.

77% from me

Funnily enough, I rated this one 78% so about the same. That's a good score for a good album. 'Fire in your eyes' and 'Get over it' are my picks.

All I ever heard was how this was a "legendary" album, there wasnt a bad second on the CD, so I was expecting like some Blue Tears type shit, IMO anyways, and I mean this disc was good, perhaps a tad above good, but certainly not legendary in any instance, and I listened to it over and over, nothing jumped out at me, like when I first heard that H.E.A.T. album, with the new dude, or Brother Firetribe, shit just clicked, songs got stuck in my head, riffs got into my sub conscience, and I never really thought there was a stand out track, this is just MO of course, i'd give this a 6 or 7

Oh sorry, I mean a 70% maximum

Thanks for posting this. I hadn't heard of it and in listening to it the chops are all there and I really like it.

Can I have it as I'd rate it much higher. ;)
