Harem Scarem - Change The World

Recommended Posts

Appeared 30-minute interview with Pete Lesperance from Harem Scarem about everything: debut, Mood Swings, Voice of Reason, Rubber time, Mood Swings II, Thirteen, United, and of course Change The World. Really great interview. And interestingly, Tony Harnell from TNT sings at Change The World title song, and from what he says about this song, it may be one of the best songs on album, especially at the end of the song has a lot of interesting things happening with Harnell. He also explained what's going on with Creighton and Darren. And it turns out that Pete plays bass on the album.

Good interview. I remember Pete was pretty bitter in an interview I heard after Hope.

Bud, that has nothing to do with anything. He's just singing backing vocals on one song. And as far as the interview goes, it was just a quick mention.

Also, it should be noted that if you're a bit sensitive, and rate the debut very high, you might wanna pass on this. He kinda shits on it.

Chorus is a bit repetitive, but overall the track sounds like typical HS and is a solid tune

Verses are a tad boring but overall a nice tune.

can see it being a huge grower.

I must admit releasing loads of singles is always a bit odd to me.

I'm sure this fits perfectly on the album

It's okay. Not the best they've done but it's pretty cool.

    • Seems fair. Probably the right time to overthrow the government.
    • New song 'Quarantine'.
    • Apparently in the US only ''essential'' stores and businesses are open like in many other countries around the world. Gun stores seem to be open...  ''gun stores, gun makers and shooting ranges are critical businesses that shouldn’t be closed''
    • WICKED SMILE DEBUT EP PRE ORDER AVAILABLE NOW Australian heavy rock band Wicked Smile have announced ‘Delirium’ as the title of their forthcoming debut ep which is set for release on July 1st. The band is fronted by charismatic powerhouse lead vocalist Danny Cecati (ex Pegazus & Eyefear) with Stevie Janevski (ex Black Majesty & Cyclone Tracy) on guitars. The four song ep is produced by Paul Laine (The Defiants) who also plays bass and sings backing vocals on the ep. Guitarist Stevie Janevski goes on to say, “our two released songs have received such a fantastic response worldwide that people wanted to hear more right away. This was particularly pleasing to both Danny and I. We were both overwhelmed by the positive response, whether it be via personal messages, YouTube comments or via our Facebook and Instagram accounts. It was also fantastic to have so much support from Internet Radio who got behind us by playing our song, with some stations putting us on heavy rotation”. Fans of Judas Priest, Dio, Skid Row, etc. should feel at home, with the band drawing major influence from seventies and eighties heavy rock and heavy metal. Another talking point is the track ‘Stronger’ which was written by guitarist Stevie to highlight the issue of ‘bullying’ in schools and in society as a whole. Track List for ‘Delirium’ 1. We Fall 2. Stronger 3. Love’s Got A Hold On You 4. Daze Of Delirium The Wicked Smile Delirium debut ep (jewel case cd) can be pre ordered now directly via the band here : https://store21429008.ecwid.com/ *all pre orders will be signed by Danny & Stevie   (Love’s Got A Hold On You)
    • I'd missed this one when it came out. Wow. Excellent stuff. Youtube actually doing a really great job of finding me new things to listen to in my isolation.
    • All pre orders of the Wicked Smile Delirium ep/jewel case cd will be signed by vocalist Danny & guitarist Stevie. $12 (US) includes free shipping. Order via the band here : https://store21429008.ecwid.com/
    • Agree and disagree.  I agree that Cauterize is in a different league. Head and shoulders above the rest.  But there are a lot of other bands too that come close to or as good as or better than Hit The Lights. One example Silly Fools. Yes if you just consider discography, then Cauterize and HTL are simply hard to beat, but so many other good modern rock bands have recorded killer tunes that are just as good as the best songs by Cauterize or HTL. So ya, as a band, Cauterize are the best but song wise, in plenty.
    • so does Blazing Saddles and Revenge Of The Nerds
