You don't care about anything!!!! I won't ever be ok- if there's something that I cannot do, it's getting people to stop being sarcastic and actually care- I thought you might've cared- getting through to you is going to prove a harder challenge than I thought as you aren't an atheist, either!!!!!

You're nothing, that's what. And whether you care about it or not I think God can make even you, Leykis into something- someone.

What is it your not picking up on Petra Girl? what is it you would like me to care about? see you have to be more clear, even specific would be better, Sarcasm is my personality, so essentially you want me to not be me, in order to try to enlighten me on your topic that your very passionate about, I speak my mind, im not that complex, I don't believe, I don't understand what it is your not picking up on here, as I feel Ive been nothing but honest, straightforward, and transparent in what you and I have going, I told you, because you claimed you could prove to me God exists, so I told you, cool, here I am, knock yourself out, I will take whatever you offer me, process it, and go on, it seems you haven't really been around here long enough to notice I don't take anything seriously, at least not that seriously, because I don't take anything in life that serious, because it's boring, and people who are overly serious are the dregs I dread running into, in anything I do, sure if you get on here and say Cody, I just found out I have 3 days left to live, I obviously am not going to go into a rant, joking and making fun of it, cause im not a fucking dildo, well at least I don't think I am, but Ive given you the platform to pitch your God stuff to an Atheist, which I am, and I don't know how you could take anything else out of that, which is my whole point, Atheism is the most simple concept on earth, we simply do not believe in anything, that doesn't seem to sit well with you, but it's the truth, and its simple, there's not an ancient book full of shit, no conventions, I don't desire God's love, because I don't believe your god philosophy, I'm not worried about the after life, cause I don't believe there's such a thing, no such thing as a soul, I don't care, because I don't believe in it, are you at all catching my drift? it doesn't make me any more or less of a person, or a bad guy, or a douche bag, im just a douche bag by nature, none of that god stuff is important to me, because there's no such thing, for whatever reason that's really not sitting well with you, I don't care about anything, your right,, oh I care about things that I believe are real, like the love I have for my daughter, and my friends, oh you better believe I care about that, I'm speaking strictly on topic, I don't care about something I don't believe in, why would I care about something I don't believe exists, I told you I'd hear you out, I never said I was going to convert, maybe flight out and read scriptures with you, or anything, the fact im willing to listen to you is pretty profound as I generally avoid anyone who wants to proselytize, but you seem cool, and you listen to Petra, at 13 years old, im not going to shun you, or bag on you, or make fun of you, which I would do to just about anyone else who talked god to me, but you said you had proof, so im all ears, and you need to stop taking shit so personally, my offer hasn't changed, I haven't changed, your just getting really worked up over things im just sitting here behind a keyboard spouting off about, which is what I have always done, if we were speaking face to face you'd probably hate me worse, its just me, so Ive explained shit about as clearly as I know how, so hopefully you pick up what im putting down, only about 10% of anything I say is said with any sincerity, but 100% of what I say is honest, don't let that sarcasm get ya, it would be a shame.

I also would like to take this quick opportunity and remind everyone, about the breath taking, double feature being released tomorrow night, from the throbbing and pulsating studios over there in Boomerang land, G-Off productions is remastering and releasing on a 2 disc set, the legendary classic, from 1978, some of G-Offs earliest work, and most brilliant, the 2 disc box set and the 1st time on DVD release of Guys Will Be Girls, this cinematic icon paved the way for this brilliant director to become what he is today, now you can see it how it was meant to be seen, and not on beta or VHS, but high def 4k DVD, it's so clear, it's almost like G-Off is sitting on an Eiffel Tower 5ft away from you, every glisten, every shine, catches every light, you'll have to smack yourself and remind yourself your not sitting directly in front of these studs in person, head over to G-Offs website right now and pre order your copy of Guys Will Be Girls!

Well... the important thing is this hasn't spun out of control.

Just remember, she's one of yours, cob. Be proud of that and remember that to some degree that's probably how you sound to proper humans too. ;) Haha. Creep.

I'm just grateful that she's pointed out how stupid everyone else is, but has refrained from saying anything stupid herself.

Just one question, Petragirl - why are you trying so hard to save Cody, but not me? Does Jesus not have space there in Heaven for someone like me? :(

Anyway, Cody, your continued and undying promotion of my career is truly heartwarming. I knew there was a reason I had your name (including your 17 middle names), face, body and life-size sketch of your penis all tattooed onto the underside of my schlong.

Look, whatever I say to Cody I guess can go to anyone else, you haven't said anything about it really though. I still know very well what I'm supposed to be doing and as soon as I'm ready you all can hear it!

Sarcasm, as I said, won't really be allowed because it will confuse everything too much. That is, when I'm supposed to be looking into what you believe, (I already know what atheists believe) and you keep pretending to switch religions which, when you're just typing and you can't actually hear the sarcasm in the voice is somewhat hard, especially since we've never met in person, ya know. But of course I'm not that boring either, and I'm not getting worked up over nothing, either. I understand everything now, and I'll just say this is the only topic (for now anyway) that I'll assume you aren't being sarcastic on, because it's going to mess it up too much. That's all, I'm not too worked up.

While we are off-topic promoting G-Off's Productions, as usual, everybody fails to mention my epic studly gay porn debut in the upcoming flick Alpha Males Love Manly Tails. I am sure you will love the scene where I'm trying to remove something from the tub drain naked and my hand gets stuck in the drain. Mr. Fitzwell comes into the room and then comes into me. My most explosive scene yet!!

Coming in an ass near you on 2/22/20!!

He's looking at you right now, I hope you know that.

And as destitute as you are, He loves you so much.

Biggest load of bullshit every stated. There are approx. 7.3 billion humans on Earth. Does God have 14.6 billion eyes to look at every single person on Earth all the time at the same time? Of course not. That's unrealistic.

The fact is God allows innocent people to die. He allows innocent babies to die or be born with cancer. If he was this almighty being, couldn't he stop these horrific things from happening?

He does not love me. I believed at one time. I did the whole church thing, Sunday school, Bible study, and all that stuff. And I prayed every night. Prayed for family members health, prayed for rain when there was drought, prayed for an end to war. Prayed my father would stop drinking. Prayed for a job when I was homeless. Prayed my ex could be spared death from the colon cancer she found out about right after we met, because she meant everything to me and was the only light in my life. (She died 2 years later).

I never asked for anything for myself. No material things. I was a believer. I thought "he" would help. I was ignored.

When I was getting bullied in school at 8 years old, I begged God to help. He ignored me. When my family turned their back on me and said there was nothing wrong with me when I was in the midst of major depression. When you pray, pray, pray, and other people are praying for you and nothing changes, you end up like me.

I just gave up. I gave him my all and he gave me nothing. He's just not real. He's a fraud.

The Bible is fiction.

We are none believers on opposite ends of the spectrum, you are one by way of experience and life lessons, I just never bought into any of it, as young as I can remember getting drug into Mormon church as a child, listening at like age 5, thinking am I the only one who thinks this shit sounds a little suspect, of course thru the Mormons excellent shame based teachings, I was terrified to tell anyone that, but I have your answer, Rod Hertz, free will, that's why good decent people go down in flames, while evil motherfuckers live high on the hog, but if God can't do anything for you, what's the point in believing in him? It goes back to perspective, if something good happens, you can accept it for what it is, the weight of circumstances, or immediately attribute it to God and pass it off, so my question is, how come God only gets credit for the good shit that happens?

TEN are the Kings of Gnostic Melodic Hard Rock music. One song which always fascinated me was "You're My Religion" from "The Name of the Rose". Not their best track, but although it sounds like a standard Hard Rock "sex" song, the lyrics are a bit more profound. It ends with the line "You're the Temple of Messianic truth". That's some deep shit.

I didn't reas all this. I couldn't because.... puctuation :)

Anyway, I don't believe in god, and whilst I think those who do simply need that fall back to get through life, I don't begrudge them than.

Back on topic

The few that come to mind are usually longer songs

Rime Of The Ancient Mariner - Maiden
Paradise By The Dashboard lIght - Meat Loaf

Others are simply the ones that had an effect one me for whatever reason...
Until You Suffer Some - Poison
Father, Mother Son - The Scream
Cats In The Cradle - imma go with Ugly Kid Joe
Broken Chandeliers - Roxanne
Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton
Fire In The Pouring Rain - Bad City

That's a great choice, but there was always one thing that irked me about the UKJ version. The original starts off with "When ya comin' Dad?", then transitions into "When ya comin' home Son?".  The subtle change in the chorus is the whole point of the song, yet UKJ decided to begin with "When ya comin' home Son". Not sure why they did this, as I said, it completely misses the point of the song.

Jeez mate, good pick up. Amazingly, I'd never noticed that but I played it back tonight and am a bit amazed. Why and how on earth did they do that? Like you say, the whole point and meaning of the song is completely lost/avoided. I am so intrigued by this.

Anyway, it's still a great song, but it's going to be weird listening to it now.

This song would actually be perfect for that thread about learning stuff from songs. Much more important than a relationship with a fictional god, this one at least provides a valid life lesson. ;)

Nice poem that Ancient Mariner, I prefer to read it than listen to that song, lol

Here's a couple. One from the 70's and one from the 80's. "Moonlight Shadow" for me, is one of those time travel songs that takes me back to the 80's everytime I hear it. It's a great track even though I have no idea what it's about. "Stairway to Heaven" of course, is the most fascinating songs of all fascinating songs. Try listening to it backwards sometime.

I was randomly thinking of this this afternoon (as I do) and it struck me with obviousness, that the lyric is of course;

"When you comin' home?"

"Son, I don't know when"

So the early lyric is in fact correct, but then later in the song, it should either be;

"When you comin' home, son?"

"I don't know when"

But as that's too subtle to pick up as a listener, I guess it should be;

"When you comin' home?"

"Dad, I don't know when."

Anyway, so that's what I was thinking about on Christmas Eve.

That's a very good point mate. So, it's a punctuation thing. Nice one. I don't have a physical copy of the album. We need to see the official lyrics in written form. If what you say is true, then I may be able to listen to this version again without cringing, which makes me happy, because it is one of the great  covers. Thanks mate.
