Meh...Not doing much for me.

I definitely preferred their original singer and sound they had on the debut.

Totally agree...but ill give it a chance

can I just say that the first singer was terrible live so ANY new singer is better.

in terms of song,  really liked the first tune,  really do not like the 2nd

Those soundbytes make this sound excellent...please please I hope this is the case and that the die young song was bottom of the pile.

From the longer samples on the main page, this is gonna be killer

First song is heaps better, but I don't mind the second one at all. Will be paying close attention to this release. Sounding good...

Probably not the best day to be listening to new music as I feel like I just got run over by a semi after the H.E.A.T news, but gave this album a spin and just not doing much for me.  I like the vibe of the music itself but not really getting into the singer for whatever reason.  There's a couple okay tunes but nothing I got the urge to add into my playlist.

Maybe I'll try it again when I'm in a better mood.

Yeah a few more spins needed...like the tunes "Cold Words" , "Renegades Of Love"  , "Denial" and my fav thus far is "Burning It Down"...but more time needed me thinks.

I'm still in the middle of my first time through the album but I'm liking it a lot.  They retained the sound of the first album and that's a great thing.  Nothing has jumped out at me like several of the tracks on the debut did but I'm digging it nonetheless.

I agree. I haven't seen them live but on the clips on YT, he sounded like shit live.

I also like the 1st song and don't like the 2nd.

Will give it a go like everything else.

I'm struggling a bit with the album my first couple times through for whatever reason.....but there's a few good tunes.  This one definitely one of them and probably would be my favorite on the album.

Everyone is different, but I love it!

Had about 4 spins of this now and I’m enjoying it - Still not sure it’s better than the debut and not every track is solid but it’s a good album.

New singer is growing on me. Saw these guys live a couple of years back and they are great, I think he’ll be a decent fit.

Best tracks for me are Burning It Down, Renegades Of Love, Nowhere Land, Die Young and Denial.

This is a pretty killer release in my eyes. In a lacklustre year, it stands out significantly. A lot of great songs, but the big stand out for me is 'Cold Words.' Holy shit, what a killer tune.

I also love 'Renegades of Love,' 'Denial' and 'My Hideaway.' But there's no weak spots here - it's mostly pretty awesome. The last song - that ballad - will be the only non-keeper for me on the album. It's not a bad song, but it's pretty meek after a high energy melodic rock record to finish on that note, imo.

But yeah ,really good album and probably finishes the year in my top 5 with ease.

Just listened to this album for the first time, what a song Cold Words is!! One of the best this year.

The rest are pretty good too except one two songs.

For some reason, I kept forgetting about this new release. Very fine album indeed.

    • Maybe it's because I've heard GnR a couple thousand times by now, but I much prefer "Fall to Pieces" by Velvet Revolver over "Sweet Child o Mine" at this point in my life.
    • I'll have to investigate that Durbin. I'd count Striker and Mick Mars among the best metal releases as well now that I think about it.
    • Haven't picked up Saxon yet, but as far as metal goes, I love the new Durbin album as well.
    • I wasn’t thrilled with the singles as they came out, other than “The Serpent and the King”, but I’ll be damned if they haven’t grown on me while listening to them as part of the cohesive package that is “Invincible Shield”. I broke down and picked up the Target exclusive to get the three bonus tracks, and I enjoy them too. Overall, a damn fine addition to the JP discography. Is it better than “Firepower“? I’m not there yet, but time will tell. 🤔 This one and Saxon have set the bar pretty high for metal this year. 👍
    • Agree with this. Though I think you should check out Firepower. You can get it real cheap new everywhere. It is molten. I'm also enjoying Invincible very much and 2024 new music as a whole.
    • I remember my early days on the internet joining a group on Yahoo (yeah thats how long ago it was) and the woman who created the group was trying to persaude me how great Creed was, so much so that she sent me the first two albums on CD. I had no idea what they sounded like. When I played them all I could think is that they sounded like Pearl Jam, and I fucking hate Pearl Jam. I ended up trading them for something better. I can't remember the ins and outs of it, but I somehow shared my CD collection online and she noticed straight away that the Creed CDs were not listed. She asked me why and I said I sold them as really did not like them, and got something I did like. She never spoke to me again after that

    • I have always been an on/off fan of Priest. Loved Ram it down and Painkiller, then kinda lost interest when Rob left. Only newer albums I ever got around to picking up were Angel of retribution because I saw it real cheap and Nostrodamus as I found the deluxe edition cheap as well. With this one though I was interested in what I heard and saw the deluxe edition looked cool. I then saw they were selling copies on the JP website with a signed art card in both standard and deluxe format, but baulked at the price of the deluxe as they were charging an extra £10 over the unsigned version, and postage was lumpy ... plus I was a few days from getting paid. By the time I went back on there the signed deluxe was gone but they had the standard version with the signed card and it was the same price as the unsigned version (guess nobody was buying it) so decided to buy that and order the deluxe from Amazon, keep the artcard and sell the standard CD on eBay as it is still sealed. So yeah, been playing the album today and on my third (or is it fourth) playthrough, and absolutely loving it. When bands like Bon Jovi are  getting soft as shit with age, Rob and the guys are still full on metal gods. At 72, Rob should not be able to still perform like this, but he fucking well is, so more power to him. Really good start to the year so far with the 2024 albums I have picked up.
    • Evidently, Tichy has joined up with Gene Simmons' solo band, and the Daisies replaced him with Tommy Clufetos who'd helped them out before. Be interesting to see how much more there is to the story....
    • Been listening to this one on and off since Friday, and must say I'm VERY impressed. This is easily his best solo release in my opinion, and is much more melodic than his work with Creed. This one might just be this years equivalent to Godsmack for me personally i.e. late 90s musicians going in a more melodic direction and it working quite well!
