Here's a challenge for you guys: guess the original artists.

From Jorn's FB:

I am proud to announce that HEAVY ROCK RADIO II "Executing The Classics" is to be released January 24, 2020 on CD/LP/Digital on Frontiers Records

The first Heavy Rock Radio released in 2016 was meant to be a one-off, but I never dreamt it would become such a popular concept! I was humbled and truly surprised that these "Jornified" versions of other artists' songs, would end up on sale charts around the world, including Billboard.

I'm blessed to be working with some fantastic musicians and I'm very proud of the result! Francesco Jovino, who also played on the latest original JORN album "Life On Death Road" (2017), plus the first Heavy Rock Radio album (2016), has laid down some monster drumming with incredible groove and power.
My other band mates Sid Ringsby, Tore Moren, and Alessandro Del Vecchio has provided some spectacular playing, and given this product their personal mark. Additionally we have great special appearances by Jgor Gianola, LUCA PRINCIOTTA, Trond Holterand Andrea Girtuga Seveso. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS MY FRIENDS, YOU BROUGHT THE ROCK!!

ALBUM TRACKLIST:
1. Lonely Nights
2. Winning
3. New York Minute

5. Love
6. I Do Believe In You
7. Night Life
8. Bad Attitude

When you post the whole write up along with your own words, I can't always tell which is which. Also, you didn't give us much time. Also also, I think most people have given up on Jorn, so I'm not sure how many visits this thread received in a day.

Fock me. I meant one thing and wrote another.

Guess the artist who have recorded the song.

For example Mighty Quinn: Manfred Mann, Bob Dylan, Gotthard and so on.

There are several right answers. The point is to find the right song.

What makes you think that? Does Jorn like Dio, or something?

From Frontiers:

Here's your first taste of JORN's new covers album, "Heavy Rock Radio II - Executing The Classics": 'Lonely Nights' by Bryan Adams. As usual, JORN takes a song and puts his own unique stamp on it, as only he can. Tremendous!

"Heavy Rock Radio II - Executing The Classics" is out January 24, 2020. Pre-order here: https://radi.al/HRRII

For more details about the release, keep on reading....

Simply one of the greatest rock singers of our time, Jorn Lande returns with a second installment of covers of classics from artists and bands that have meant something special to him and helped forge this talented man's own unique style.

Through Jorn's extensive career, which includes more than 40 albums of mostly original songs, he has recorded great versions of several rock classics from classic bands such as DIO, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Deep Purple, and many more.

Every song JORN covers is treated with the utmost respect and "Jorn-ized" accordingly, just like the first "Heavy Rock Radio" album showed with amazing cover versions of evergreen songs such as "I know There's Something Going On", "Hotel California", "You're The Voice," "Running Up That Hill," and several others. Fans showed a lot of enthusiasm and interest for those versions, so a follow-up covers album seemed a no-brainer.

This second album, "Heavy Rock Radio II – Executing The Classics", is not an ordinary album of cover songs, it is truly a songbook of hits. Featured - among others - are great versions of Pages’ "I Do Believe in You," Foreigner's "Night Life", Don Henley's "New York Minute," Deep Purple's "Bad Attitude," a stunning metal version of Peter Gabriel's "The Rhythm of the Heat," and of course an unmissable Dio cover, "Mystery".

More "jukebox" type of covers include "Quinn the Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)" originally recorded by Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams' "Lonely Night", Jackie DeShannon "Needles And Pins", and a very personal choice from the man himself, a Russ Ballard song, “Winning”.

Jorn says: "The most important thing was to treat these songs with respect towards the original versions, my goal was always to think that the original artist would be honoured and find my version relevant. At the same time my intention was never to try to compete with the original song and artist, but make it a strong alternative version to enjoy."

Jorn's catalogue is getting too long to include in brief press statements, and his innovative and creative skills have led to him selling millions of albums worldwide and being a frequent entry on sales charts around the world, including Billboard. Worth a mention is his years with German based Masterplan, whom he recorded three albums with. Jorn continues his rock crusade, and there are no signs of him slowing down yet.

Yeah, he's so awkward in front of the camera.

And on stage.

And in person.

In a couple of days he premieres "Needles and Pins". I was lucky enough to have a Mum that loved all music. I grew up listening to a lot of 60s Britpop, especially "The Hollies" and "The Searchers". Always loved this track, so I'm interested to see how Jorn handles it. I'd never heard the version by "Jackie Deshannon" before, but she looks like she was quite the hottie back in the day.

Yup. I would kill for his voice.

And his facial expressions. Sorry, his facial expression.

past his sell by date.

I honestly cannot see the joint of Jorn now. He either records plodding heavy rock or does covers

Love the Needles and Pins cover.

One of the great hard rock/metal voices of all time.

Wish I could find the Millennium album somewhere.

Was great on stage with Avantasia too.
