And again today....Actually very good this is and one now knows why Chris Frazier was wanted by Coverdale for Whitesnake......He drums on this and does a mighty fine job

Tak Matsumoto might not be in the same league as Akira Takasaki, but he too does very good work on the strings and Jack Blades and Eric Martin always have been and always will be great on the bass and vocals respectively.

Played it yesterday Dave. Hair on the neck moment when Castronovo starts singing 'Mother,Father' - bloody awesome!!!

 

Arnel Pineda definatley holds his own on here aswell - very impressive performance indeed!!!

I agree with you 100% on Castronovo in regards to "Mother, Father"....It really took me by surprise how good he really was.

Bloody good drummer aswell.

In regards to Pineda, Journey have had their fair share of vocalists over the years, but they will always be best remembered with Steve Perry up front, but you will never get a better replacement to sing the old material and have that real Journey sound and feel about them, than with Arnel Pineda.

He is an amazing talent and Journey have definately got the right guy here

Thought it was excellent, Arnel was very impressive and I`m a big Perry fan

 

His voice is excellent on the 3 new songs and fabulous on the classics.

 

Good to hear Deen on vocals, as good as he is, I thought his vocals on Mother, Father were a bit weak for me, not that it`s really

a criticism, great song (One of my personal Journey favourites).

 

Overall a great dvd and I really regret not going to see them on their current tour

Harem Scarem - Raw And Rare........I've only flicked through this one pretty quickly and all I can say is I'm glad it's a copy and I did not pay for it. I love music DVD's but I recommend you to avoid this one.......The quality is terrible...especially the Mood Swings Tour.
