I think the new release by STATION might just sneak on to a few lists. It will be a late entry as it will not be released until November.

Going to be tough to compile a Top 10. This year has been bog average.

Was looking back and actually forgotten quite a few that were released this year. It’s hard to think of a single album that I keep going back to time and time again.

my top 10 will be pretty strong....after that the quality drops off a cliff.

Mind you I suppose in 2019 we should be glad of 10 great melodic rock releases. It could be worse....it could be the mid to late 90s ;)

Been giving this a little thought....Think my top 5 is pretty strong but the next 5 are all just pretty average releases that probably wouldn't even make my top 10 in some other years.

Not sure on the order of my top 3 yet but will be Crazy Lixx, Defiants and Pretty Maids in some order.  Then likely Eclipse and Degreed rounding out the top 5.

Next 5 in some order are probably Station, Nitrate, Roxy Blue, Tesla and Saints of Sin.  I still might try to go back and check out some stuff I've missed from this year though so this "next 5" could easily change.

Seem like good releases but TBH none of those have seemed to do much for me.  I kinda view them all as kind of lighter AOR that just doesn't seem to really grab me.  I need a little edge in my AOR....Kinda like Defiants, H.e.a.t, etc.

Work of Art I've tried multiple times and just don't care for at all.

Haven't looked overly close at the other two although I know I sampled the singles when they came out and didn't care for them enough to go much farther.  Maybe I'll revisit.

Yeah the lists are for defs gonna be different this year from person to person if the likes of Tesla & Roxy Blue are in them ;)

Will have to go through exactly what I have that was released this year,if I didn't buy it then it's never making the list, although there are quite a few I did purchase that won't make it either  :)

Let me know what you think of the Donnie Vie?

I liked it

9 really great tracks off that one

My current top albums

1. Cats In Space
2. The New Roses
3. Tesla
4. Donnie Vie
5. Mike Tramp

Sammy Hagar's again was average with only 3 great songs
Just saw a new Taylor Hawkins album is out so that should be good
Also SOTO, Station, First Signal, and Black Ouk County to give more time to as well.

Ever?
They've had some great stuff.
Start with Love Song :)

haha, their latest was pretty good, surpeised me actually.
There were 7 great tracks on it.

Many ripped into being to Def Leppardy, but that disappeared pretty quickly and the songs became their own.
For me, one of their best albums, just need an open mind for it.

Listened to SOTO a few more times and it's pretty average overall.

With JSS, I tend to prefer the ballady songs.

Off this one I only really dug HyperMania, AfterGlow and Give In To Me (a cover)
