Several playthroughs later and my amended rating is 5 out of 6. Simply a excellent album in its own right. I understand many are disappointed with the direction they've taken, but I can enjoy this on its own merits. If it was a debut album from a new group, I suspect folks would be over the moon.

5 to 6/10? That's still pretty weak isn't it?

But I agree in principal. I don't think it's great, but I don't think this is a bad album at all. Definitely nothing like Dynazty or some shit like that. 'Tick tock,' 'The cure' and 'Blaze the trail' are my favourites. It's a good solid album - not worthy of the hate.
