Only had one or two listens so far but a big disappointment at the moment.  Nowhere near the level of the first album

I don't get the negative comments about "Queen of the Prom"... if this track were on a Cats in Space album, people would be raving about it.

The only difference between Cats In Space and Palace is I actually made it through the Palace album. I won't make that mistake again, though. Cats In Space, however... couldn't get through more than 2 or 3 tracks. 

BUT! 

To each their own. Maybe the reason I hate 'Queen of the prom' is the same reason I hate CIS. But not everyone seems too negative about Palace, so maybe the same people love these two things? 

From the commentary above, I got the impression I was quite alone in my dislike for this song and album.

You're not. I loved the first album but "Queen" is a garbage song.
