My vacation starts today too but no vacation from guitar playing/composing and fapping. Have a nice summer!

During my two weeks in April I did a couple days in Croatia and one week in Colombia which was amazing!! Can only recommend it and will have to go again ;-)

If I had the funds, I'd never even experience this shitty winter. I'd experience no winter again. Good for absolutely nothing, except cold misery... oh, and ironically, good surf conditions.

 

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear your Indonesia tips, Nightrain, out of curiosity.

 

I've not been but if I had a bucket list, the Mentawais & Sumatra would be on my bucket list. It is mostly for surfing in that part of the world, but it's not all there is. Just looks stunning.

 

The places we did go; Gili Meno was awesome (for a very quiet island getaway), loved Lombok (for a bigger, but much quieter than Bali island getaway - a hell of a lot to explore there). On Bali, I thought Sanur and Ubud both had a lot of appeal, but are obviously very busy and full of people. Kuta/Legian was worth seeing for interest's sake. Uluwatu looks marvellous too.

 

Anyway, like Nightrain says, Indonesia has countless options... just depends what you like.

Just hanging out in Finland. Visiting our summer cottage (1 hour drive from home) and doing some work on our house. I just got back from my fathers funeral (he died a couple of weeks ago), he lived in the western part of Finland. About 400 km away.

My girlfriend and I will be visiting Scotland in a month.

 

What did you do/see there? Any tips?

 

You must got to the West coast and maybe visit the islands, Mull, Arran, Skye or tour down the west side and go to Glencoe . This is the route we took over a week, 1600 miles in total and it was fabulous.
