Nothing like tooting your own horn in the morning !

I realize I am now in a very select group of people.i started slowly in single digits, went to double and then triple digits and now I hit the big time.

After this post only 8,999 more to hit the next milestone.

This practice is recommended and encouraged at all hours of the day and night.

I don't know what you win but it's taken me over 1,000 posts to get a woman to respond to me.I've never been to jail but I'm guessing this is how it feels to be released from prison after 4 years(that's how long I've been a member here). ;)

:beerbang: awww there does seem to be a sad lack of females on this forum at the moment. Maybe I should start some girly thread topics and see if I can lure some on board.

Then again, most of the topics are pretty gender neutral to be honest and it's not like there's a dearth of women into rock music. Maybe they're just not into talking about it?

Now I'm curious... why aren't there more women on the forum? Do you reckon you guys prefer it that way? I wonder whether/how it would change if there were more of us contributing?

Oh the endless questions!

I'm sure everyone would like more people posting on this site regardless if they're men or women.I think most prefer facebook because people stay on that site longer and it's quicker to respond to someone.I happen to check facebook quite a few times during the day and this site once or twice a day.Sometimes I miss a topic if it isn't the last one commented on in a certain category.

I do believe in general that men give music a higher priority than women. At least in the 21 and over range.I remember driving with my mother in her car when I was growing up and she would let me listen to whatever music I wanted on the radio. Now when I'm driving my daughter in my car I won't let her control the radio.

As long as discussions are good and being kept alive I don't care if it's men or women posting. I have accepted the fact that (at least in this genre) the majority of listeners happen to be men, not sure why but that's just the way it is

    • Actually, I think this is the "upcoming film". I think this is "Ghostbusters III".
    • This topic is very addictive. This was a CD that I found very hard to get back in the day. My mate had a copy and it killed me. I had copied it to cassette, but as we all know, that wasn't good enough. When I finally came across it I felt complete.
    • In eager anticipation of the new Black Swan album, I thought i'd post two of my favourite McAuley Schenker Group choruses.
    • Not a movie I've recently watched, but a trailer I've recently seen. With all the backlash of the "Ghostbusters" reboot and the upcoming new film, this one seemed to come out of nowhere. Looks pretty cool BTW.
    • I saw them open for Iron Maiden features Steve Harris son in the band
    • good stuff I like Jeff Scott Soto

The Ballroom Blitz will be an intimate close up setting that will allow you to be in front of all of the action from our local, regional, and national artists! This event will be 2 FULL days with 20 bands. This is the one you’ve been waiting for !!! Tickets are available at www.bradleeentertainment.com while supplies last. This will be one for the ages.”
    • That 2nd clip reminds me of the Foo Fighters - not their music though, just the video clip.  Not really my kinda music but it's well played and I think will certainly appeal to those who like Joe Bonamassa etc.
    • Excited to hear this!  Nice line-up and cool cover art.  I know some people get a bit over the super group/projects and I get that to an extent, but for me I don't care as long as the music is good.
