Maybe I'm being super thick here so then this will be an incredibly short thread which can be shot down with one answer, but what on earth makes a piece 'Adult oriented' rock as opposed to just 'rock'?

Is it the themes to the lyrics?

The images associated with the bands?

or something more than that?
