I didn't know of this before. This was released in 2011 on MelodicRock Records and it sounds great to me.

From hardrockhideout.com:

Infinity is a monster project that was recorded back in 1986/87 featuring AOR star vocalist
Mitch Malloy and Red Dawn/Rainbow/Billy Joel keyboardist David Rosenthal. For one
of the many reasons seen in the music industry, the record was never released at the time,
but after 20+ years will finally see the light of day.
The 9 tracks that make up this lost classic are nothing short of blinding keyboard driven 80s
melodic hard rock, with vocals that need to be heard to be believed!
The rest of the line-up consists of various session guys, including one very young Reb Beach
(Whitesnake, Winger).

What’s special about this release is the fact that the ninth track didn’t really exist until last
month. The song Liar was never completed back in 1986, but the song was recently
resurrected from the original tape it was recorded on, repaired enough to become a true
backing track, with Mitch Malloy adding a brand new lead vocal and drum track from his
studio in Nashville.

Mitch Malloy comments: “Infinity was basically me and Dave and we used different guys to
play on the tracks. It was 1986-87. I was a kid. So was Dave. I was singing in clubs in Jersey
and making a name for myself and looking for a real band and he was looking for a singer.
R ainbow had just broken up and he was wanting to be in his own band. I was sick of playing
the clubs and looking to step up and it worked out. We had some fun and wrote some songs
and never got signed so we both moved on to different things. It’s exciting for us that this 22
year old music is finally going to be heard. We worked hard on it and were very proud of it.
And for how old I was and for the time I am still very proud of it. It’s really my first real
recording sessions ever. Dave and I had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun and we worked very
hard to make out music as good as we could possibly make it. And I think it shows.”

Infinity will finally see the light of day in October. All of the tracks are exclusive to this
release and have never been released before.

INFINITY is: Mitch Malloy (Vocals), David Rosenthall (Keyboards), Reb Beach, Dave Gellis &
Mike McConville (Guitars), Donnie Kisselbech & Rob Jeffries (Bass), Mike Kaplan (Drums)

    • A relatively recent discovery for me, and... damn. This will definitely NOT appeal to the vast majority of members here, but think prog metal meets Megadeth/Metallica meets Amon Amarth (with slightly less Viking).

    • Yeah, their last album was digital-only too. Sigh.

    • Good thing with the Ghost's show, they asked the crowd to leave their phones in their pockets or place them in a bag provide at the front.

    • From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present the reissues of three classic albums from Fate. 'If Not For the Devil', 'Ghosts from the Past', and 'V' are all being made available digitally globally on December 1, 2023. The first single from these releases, "Butterfly," is out today, accompanied by a lyric video. The band says, "We are very happy to be working with Frontiers Music and are excited for these upcoming reissues. We are very proud of all three albums and are looking forward to having the fans, old and new alike, discover (or rediscover) our previous work." Following the release of their album 'Scratch'n Sniff' in 1990, Danish band FATE did several tours, both their own and with fellow countrymen, Pretty Maids. When guitarist Mattias Eklundh parted ways to focus on a solo career, he was replaced by local talent Soren Hoff, with whom the band recorded a couple of demos and did some gigs. This was 1993 and was the last we heard from FATE for quite awhile. The years went by, but Scandinavian rock fans did not forget about them. Eleven years after their demise, the guys got an offer to play at the Deep Impact Festival in Munich, Germany and they took that chance to make a comeback! Per Johansson (v), Peter Steincke (b), Soren Hoff (g) and temporary drummer Rasmus Duedahl made the trip to Munich and were met with great approval. Following this gig, the german indie label MTM Music rereleased two of FATE's albums: the classic 'A Matter Of Attitude' in July 2004, followed by the above-mentioned 'Scratch'n Sniff' in March of the next year. Overwhelmed by the unexpected response to the reissues, FATE decided to give it another shot and welcomed Mikael Kvist (from Swedish prog metal band Elsesphere) as their new drummer. 'V' was recorded and produced (by Tommy Hansen, who also did 'Scratch'n Sniff') and was greeted as the perfect follow-up for the band's fourth album, despite the gap of 16 years. All eleven songs are catchy tunes, characterized by strong hooks and the incredible voice of Per Johansson (also previously known as Per Henriksen), so reminiscent of Jorn Lande. 'V' was followed by 'Ghosts From the Past' (2011) and 'If Not For the Devil' (2013) solidifying the return of one of Copenhagen's favorite heavy metal sons. The reissues come with a total of four unreleased bonus tracks! 'If Not For the Devil' Track List: 1. Reaping 2. If Not For the Devil 3. Bridges are Burning 4. Feel Like Making Love 5. Gambler 6.
