Very bummed to hear this. The original "BSG" was my favorite TV show as a kid.

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Hatch at a book signing for his first "Galactica" novel in the late 90s. It was a pretty big Nerd Moment for me to shake the "Captain's" hand and ask him a few silly fanboy questions. He was extremely cool. R.I.P. sir!

Cool story Keith, still have the book?

Yep, I'm thinking about digging it out and re-reading it this week.

He wrote some novels, too? That's cool.

Oh, how awkward. I saw it and was all like, zomfg, the first winner of the US Survivor series died? Same name.

Anyway, no idea at all who this fella is/was, but may he rest in peace. Looks like a handsome young man back in the day. He looks very similar to someone, but I can't quite pinpoint it.

Yep, about a half dozen "Galactica" novels and a memoir. I've only ever read his first "BSG" novel tho.
