Awww, I missed this post and I should 100% have done a shout out for The Borders of Light, Raw Silk cos I'd love to hear people's opinions on it. I reckon Out of Reach is the one that comes closest to the sound of their 1st album Silk Under the Skin, but I could be wrong.

 

I think the album is awesome but I'm biased cos of being personally involved with it and from hearing it right from the first 'la la las' and 'plink plinks' on the keyboard plus a few suggestions with the lyrics so it's difficult for me to be 100% objective about it.

 

It is on Spotify if anyone wants to check it out there.

My personal favourites are the title track - The Borders of Light, Chimera and Solitude of Pain.

 

Feedback we've had so far variously compares it to Scorpions, Yes, Marillion, Ultravox, Journey and others so I guess it fulfilled one of its aims of being a tribute in sound to the bands of the 80s.
