Geoff Posted August 19, 2016 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 Yeah mate, I have a huge soft spot for these guys too. I saw this album was out recently and was really excited about it. Gotta say, though, I was pretty unimpressed with it. It's solid but I wanted more. The contrast between their light and shade has always been what really got to me in the past, but this album is a little more "one-dimensional" for lack of a better term. The un-heavy parts aren't as un-heavy and the heavy parts don't seem as heavy? I dunno, I just didn't get from this album what I have from them in the past.
