Press release:

BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of BULLETBOYS to the label for a new album to be released in the last part of 2016!

BULLETBOYS formed in 1988 at the very peak of the Los Angeles hard rock movement. With record companies constantly searching for new talent, they possessed a pedigree that most bands would kill for. Unlike the other rockers of the day, the BulletBoys were more hard rock and blues fusion than pure hair metal. Using their credentials, they were able to quickly capture the attention of music fans around the world while frontman Marq Torien emerged as one of the most underrated vocalists of the era. Thanks to comparisons to the likes of Aerosmith and especially Van Halen, talent scouts came running and the band quickly received their first major label contract.

With a debut album, produced by none other than Ted Templeman (Van Halen, Montrose) which sported the the smash hit single "Smooth Up in Ya," BulletBoys officially established themselves as the leaders of the then LA rock scene. Constant tours and the support of MTV soon brought the album to platinum status. Two more albums soon followed, “Freakshow” and “Za-Za”.

The band continued to tour and release albums surviving throughout the grunge era and outlasting the nu-metal craze. With 8 more studio albums under their belt, BulletBoys are ready to start again with a new label, feeling stronger than ever!

“We could not be more ecstatic about signing with Frontiers” says Marq Torien. “Thank you to the Executives at the label and Artists Worldwide for believing in our music. We have worked diligently over the past years musically, touring, writing and performing. We are excited to embark on this new venture with Frontiers as our support and really looking forward to releasing our new music with your amazing label. Our new joint is going into a completely new direction musically that has not been heard from us ever. We promise not to disappoint!”

Bulletboys:
Marq Torien, vocals/lead guitar
Nick Rozz, rhythm & lead guitar
Chad MacDonald, Bass
Shawn Duncan, drums & percussion

Holy shit... what's going on at Frontiers? "Enuff Z' Nuff" and "Bulletboys" in two days, both of which feature one original member, and both of whom surely have tiny fanbases these days. Bulletboys' last album was not as bad as it seemed, but they're hardly relevant in the genre anymore... or are they?

As good a debut as there is out there. Regardless of any comparisons, this album is a f*cking killer. When 'Hard as a rock' hits you know you're in for a hard rockin' explosion. After that it's a free for all with the naughty, but killer 'Smooth up in ya', my favourite 'Kissin' kitty' (MMM!), the awesome hard rock of 'Hell on my heels' and 'Badlands' and my other fave, the closer 'F#9' with it's awesome solo. Good on 'em for doing a debut without the obligatory ballad! Excellent CD!

.......so was it only in later life you became the wimp we all know and love ;)

All joking aside (& I am only winding you up Geoff) , I have a vinyl of this album residing somewhere in my loft but with no record player and no cd I have no way of hearing this - honestly cannot remember one thing about it ???? Very weird.

:o ...I'll give Marq credit for trying something different, but I'd rather listen to the tune released by the former Bulletboys members (Lies, Deceit & Treachery), which interestingly had a similar song title.

Not bad. Just not great though either.

Similar to the previous song, not a terrible song but not a great one. I do kinda like it, but it does not wow me.

I think the album will be ok, but not sure I will rush to buy it on release day.

Yeah mate, you're speaking a lot of sense in this thread. They are three absolute shithouse songs.

    • Photo credit: Tim Saccenti Metallica dropped an atomic bomb this morning, announcing the brand new album 72 Seasons and sharing the first single, “Lux Æterna”. “Lux Æterna” is old school thrash, picking right up where Hardwired… to Self-Destruct left off, only this time, guitarist Kirk Hammett was involved in the writing. 72 Seasons will be available April 14, 2023, via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with founding members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track album is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Here’s the track listing for 72 Seasons: 01. 72 Seasons 02. Shadows Follow 03. Screaming Suicide 04. Sleepwalk My Life Away 05. You Must Burn! 06. Lux Æterna 07. Crown Of Barbed Wire 08. Chasing Light 09. If Darkness Had A Son 10. Too Far Gone? 11. Room Of Mirrors 12. Inamorata “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves,” said Hetfield of the album’s title. “The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”   https://bloody-disgusting.com/music/3741721/metallica-returns-with-new-album-single-and-tour/
    • Yeah I wasn't expecting them to do much as it is their first World Cup since 86....at least they are competing hard.....now if they start making the World Cup on a regular basis then expectations will rise in the years to come....
    • New single. From Frontiers: Revolution Saints, the band centered around vocalist/drummer Deen Castronovo, have returned with a new line-up and a new single, 'Eagle Flight'. Castronovo is joined by new companions, bassist Jeff Pilson and guitarist Joel Hoekstra for Revolution Saints 2.0 and 'Eagle Flight' is their brand new musical statement announcing their arrival.    Revolution Saints was initially put together by Serafino Perugino, President and Head of A&R for Frontiers Records, to showcase the stunning voice of Deen Castronovo (Journey, Bad English, Hardline). Castronovo has always been a well respected drummer, but fans who took note of his background vocals over his career and who attended Journey shows and saw him take lead vocals on 'Mother, Father' during the band's set, came to realize he also had an amazing voice. Revolution Saints was, and always has been, a vehicle to show the world Deen's incredible singing talents.   For the first three Revolution Saints albums, "Revolution Saints", "Light In The Dark", and "Rise", Deen was joined by bassist/vocalist Jack Blades (Night Ranger) and guitarist Doug Aldrich (The Dead Daisies, ex-Whitesnake, DIO). Produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio, those three albums brought back the classic melodic rock style that thrilled and delighted legions of fans in the ‘80s and ‘90s and still does today! Inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies, and hooks for days is what you get in spades across those three albums.    While Revolution Saints MK I left an indelible mark on the melodic rock world, it was time for MK II to be born. Deen, having recently re-joined Journey, was feeling invigorated and inspired and ready to sing his ass off. Filling Blades and Aldrich's shoes would be no easy feat, but, mercifully, the exact right guys were found for the job. Joel Hoekstra is a current member of Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Iconic, as well as having his own solo project, Joel Hoekstra's 13 and is an absolutely stunning guitar player, able to play multiple styles. Jeff Pilson, currently a member of Foreigner, Black Swan, and The End Machine, is also known for his time in Dokken and his more recent production work. Two stellar musicians to compliment Deen's singing and drumming is exactly what was needed for Revolution Saints 2.0 and that's exactly what we've got here.    Fans of Revolution Saints first three releases are going to find much to be delighted with here with the new, rejuvenated Rev Saints and their brand new single, 'Eagle Flight'!    A new studio album will be released in the first half of 2023.    Line-up:  Deen Castronovo: lead vocals, drums  Joel Hoekstra: guitars  Jeff Pilson: bass
    • And unfortunately, for Canada, they're all better teams.
    • The Jabberwocky songs have been knocking around for quite some time now, but I agree, being the kind of guy he was, I bet there is even more hidden away somewhere.
    • Canada made the same mistake Aussies did in their first match. Scoring early wakes up the better team and then you get hammered.
