Excellent stuff from Russia.

Pressrelease from Lions Pride Music:

Lions Pride Music is very pleased to have signed Russian melodic rockers Black Rocks for the re-issuing of the bands debut album, I'd Rather Be Alone. The album were original released digital a few years ago, but will now for the first time be released in physical format. Not since Gorky Park, have there come out of Russia, a band with a bigger potential than Black Rocks. Black Rocks was formed in Moscow, Russia in 2009 by two brothers Nikita and Alexander Pozdnyakov, contestants of The Voice (Russia). Black Rocks brings on it’s unique musical signature by cleverly incorporating various influences of many musical styles into their own. Black Rocks started performing as a cover band playing the best hits of great rock bands such as Queen, AC/DC , Metallica, Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Nickelback, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, etc. and they became one of the most popular cover bands in Moscow with vast experience in live performing. They have won Moscow’s Cover Band Championship, in May 2011. Right after that, while enjoying their success, they started working on their original material. The band is currently hard at work on new material.

Some cool stuff there. Like all bands of this style, the ballads are the stronger songs.

    • Another greatest hits album! And even worse, live greatest hits: JACKYL : 30 Coming In Hot +3 New Tracks (2022) BY BANNED WEBSITE · PUBLISHED AUGUST 13, 2022   When many classic hard rock-related acts from their generation succumbed to trends, JACKYL has been strong & healthy for more than 3 decades. Now 2022 JACKYL are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their platinum debut album with the release of a new best-of collection titled ”30 Coming In Hot”. There has been a ‘best of’ from the band some years ago but this one is different: ”30 Coming In Hot” includes their best songs this time performed live, where they truly showcase their power, plus 3 brand new studio tracks. JACKYL earned two Guinness Book of World Records citations and the designation “The Hardest Working Band in Rock ‘N’ Roll” for performing 100 shows in 50 days as well as 21 shows in 24 hours. Yeah, JACKYL born to play live, and ”30 Coming In Hot” is really ‘hot’ indeed. Very well recorded, mixed & produced, the set is very, very good and entertaining, and you have 3 new songs to enjoy as well. • I have no real opinion on the band's schtick. I do have an opinion on their earlier albums - they contained a lot of good songs. The last few... not so. Hope they can pull something out here but expectations aren't high
    • Why even bother adding ADV to this list? Who's gonna vote for anyone else?
    • I don't get why you would even think that. I was thinking the music should be similar and Kenny's voice is powerful so not much change. But HEAT II slays this. Easily.
