Much prefer that to the other cover of this song. Very nicely produced.

Even though Tim Feehan's version came out after Chicago's, he actually wrote the song. I guess his version would still be considered the cover. Very similar,  but Tim's is by far the superior version.

Been discussing Anthrax a bit lately and this cover certainly was ground breaking at the time...

Sorry, not a big fan of Ronnie's voice.

When it comes to DIO covers, it's hard to go past this guy. I think i've mentioned it before, but JORN seems to have three voices. His DIO voice, his Coverdale voice and his own. This is a great album.

It's always good to see a classic remembered and honoured by new artists.

Not only does Steve Overland cover one of the best, if not THE best Whitesnake ballad, but he manages to put his own stamp on it.

Mr. Overland again. Possibly one of the best covers I've ever heard. It maintains the feel of the original while at the same time being completely different. Definitely my favourite Ozzy song. I'm not sure why they even attempted to cover it the way they did but I  think they nailed it.

Man, this is not an Ozzy song. It was written by Overland/P. Soussan when they were in Wildlife. Ozzy liked it and demanded credits to include it in U.Sin. Easily, though, my 2nd favorite Ozzy tune after Secret Loser.

Ozzy's version is better, which is a kind of weird thing for me to say.
Probably my fav song he did as well. I guess his weird voice is pretty unique.

CureTheSane's mention of John Corabi in his Slash thread got me on a bit of a Corabi binge. This is a great version of an iconic song.

    • From Frontiers: Here's your first taste of JORN's new covers album, "Heavy Rock Radio II - Executing The Classics": 'Lonely Nights' by Bryan Adams. As usual, JORN takes a song and puts his own unique stamp on it, as only he can. Tremendous! "Heavy Rock Radio II - Executing The Classics" is out January 24, 2020. Pre-order here: https://radi.al/HRRII For more details about the release, keep on reading.... Simply one of the greatest rock singers of our time, Jorn Lande returns with a second installment of covers of classics from artists and bands that have meant something special to him and helped forge this talented man's own unique style. Through Jorn's extensive career, which includes more than 40 albums of mostly original songs, he has recorded great versions of several rock classics from classic bands such as DIO, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Deep Purple, and many more. Every song JORN covers is treated with the utmost respect and "Jorn-ized" accordingly, just like the first "Heavy Rock Radio" album showed with amazing cover versions of evergreen songs such as "I know There's Something Going On", "Hotel California", "You're The Voice," "Running Up That Hill," and several others. Fans showed a lot of enthusiasm and interest for those versions, so a follow-up covers album seemed a no-brainer. This second album, "Heavy Rock Radio II – Executing The Classics", is not an ordinary album of cover songs, it is truly a songbook of hits. Featured - among others - are great versions of Pages’ "I Do Believe in You," Foreigner's "Night Life", Don Henley's "New York Minute," Deep Purple's "Bad Attitude," a stunning metal version of Peter Gabriel's "The Rhythm of the Heat," and of course an unmissable Dio cover, "Mystery". More "jukebox" type of covers include "Quinn the Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)" originally recorded by Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams' "Lonely Night", Jackie DeShannon "Needles And Pins", and a very personal choice from the man himself, a Russ Ballard song, “Winning”. Jorn says: "The most important thing was to treat these songs with respect towards the original versions, my goal was always to think that the original artist would be honoured and find my version relevant. At the same time my intention was never to try to compete with the original song and artist, but make it a strong alternative version to enjoy." Jorn's catalogue is getting too long to include in brief press statements, and his innovative and creative skills have led to him selling millions of albums worldwide and being a frequent entry on sales charts around the world, including Billboard. Worth a mention is his years with German based Masterplan, whom he recorded three albums with. Jorn continues his rock crusade, and there are no signs of him slowing down yet. Tracklist: 1. Lonely Nights 2. Winning 3. New York Minute 4. Needles And Pins 5. Love 6. I Do Believe In You 7. Nightlife 8. Bad Attitude 9. Quinn The Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn) 10. Mystery 11. The Rhythm Of The Heat 12. Hotel California (Remastered - Bonus Track) 13. The Final Frontier (Radio Edit - Bonus Track) 14. Die Young (Radio Edit - Bonus Track) 15. Naked City (Radio Edit - Bonus Track) 16. Ride LIke The Wind (Remastered - Bonus Track) Line-up: Jorn Lande - vocals Jgor Gianola - guitars Trond Holter - guitars Tore Moren - guitars Luca Princiotta - guitars Andrea Seveso - guitars  Sid Ringsby - bass Alessandro Del Vecchio - keyboards Francesco Jovino - drums
    • Mine arrived today so ill get a few listens over the weekend
    • I've not even listened to Tesla
    • Think part of the problem is that last track should have been called 'off and off' instead of 'on and on'. Really adds nothing.
    • As bland as the mafia factory could conjure up.
    • I liked it 9 really great tracks off that one My current top albums 1. Cats In Space 2. The New Roses 3. Tesla 4. Donnie Vie 5. Mike Tramp Sammy Hagar's again was average with only 3 great songs Just saw a new Taylor Hawkins album is out so that should be good Also SOTO, Station, First Signal, and Black Ouk County to give more time to as well.
    • Much better clip. always happy to see half naked dancing girls, but without mixing them with old dudes which is just creepy. Song is pretty good.
    • Coincidentally, a clip came up on my Facebook feed which was Behind The Vinyl Dee Snider I Wanna Rock During this one, Dee himself says that they are seen as a one hit wonder and that his comeback is "no we're a 2 1/2 hit wonder" - adding in We're Not Gonna Take It and half of the Price The Behind The Vinyl clips are pretty good (Youtube). Dee also does WNGTI but other artists are interesting as well. Run DMC Walk This Way was good, and Babe Styx was interesting. Spandau Ballet, Glass Tiger, etc etc
    • For me, off the past albums I selected.... Are you Ready to Rock - 6 songs Bleed & Scream - 4 songs Armageddonize - 6 songs Monumentum - 6 songs   Haven't got the first 2 albums yet.
    • Blacklace -  Unlaced & Get It While It's Hot
