Slama's 57th release and third of the year...

From escape-music.com:

Frederic Slama has continued to inspire us through the years with his “LA” all Star project themed releases. Ranging from soft rock to west coast to harder, edgier tunes Frederic has always brought quality music to the table.

Now in 2016 Frédéric Slama’ s AOR project is back with number 15, with an impressive new album called “L.A Darkness”, featuring amazing list of guests such as Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteem, Talisman, W.E.T), Steve Overland (solo artist, FM, The Ladder), Kevin Chalfant (The Storm, 707, Two Fires, Journey, Shooting Star, The V.U), Jesse Damon (Silent Rage, Kiss), Henry Small (Prism), Paul Sabu (Only Child, Kidd Glove, John Waite), Philip Bardowell (Unruly Child, Places Of Power, N.O.W), Rick Riso (Chasing Violets) & more.

For this 15th album, AOR is flirting with heavier territories with songs reminiscent of Foreigner, Giant, Journey & Toto. The first class production by Frédéric Slama & Tommy Denander will leave you breathless and the legendary singers of “L.A Darkness” will surely take Melodic Rock to new heights ! So it's time for the "L.A Darkness" !!

This is AOR’s best outing to date and worthy of your attention, like a great red wine AOR just improves as each year passes.

This is a nice gentle AOR album, but man it's hard to comprehend that this project is about 67 albums in and 16 years old. Some of the song writing you'd not hear on a 16 year old kid's first attempt straight out of high school.

Really basic level of song writing, only emphasised by how much these guys should know better now.
