you guys really like this stuff? I don't know, just listened to a couple songs off the previous albums again yesterday and this has nothing on the old songs monster for example sounds like something lady gaga would release

Yeah I think Monster is really awful. Had one listen and haven't gone back to it since - the lyrics and vocals are just terrible.

I really like the title song though, and we are the weekend has grown on me pretty fast, so I still have high hopes for the album!

Anyone tell what label this going released this, I know is Metal Heaven in some parts of Europe?

Have mine preordered through amazon uk and its on spinefarm records :)

Reckless Love have always been poppy. Monster is still poppy but in a more updated feel. I have no issues with it, the song is OK but I've generally liked the non-singles the most off their previous releases and hope for the same here.

Not sure why people are dissin' on the lyrics. They're not much different to a handful of songs on each of their earlier releases. Shakespeare they ain't! I for one am glad for that fact.

Metal Heaven: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, BeNeLux & Sweden

Spinefarm Records: elsewhere

I read somewhere that 'Keep It Up All Night' is only on the UK edition as a bonus track.

It is. I'd give it 32.456567%

I love their stuff like Hot and Keep it up all night but this just does nothing for me. It's the auto-tuned sounding vocals and the lyrical content is just....what? I know his wife is plastic surgeried up to the eyeballs but he's kinda covered this ground already in Dance..

Just found out about this one, will have to get.

But while playing samples from this, I started getting directed to songs from The Local Band.

Looks and sounds like the same lead singer.

Is this a side project, never heard about them?

Well I just heard the samples for all the tracks on MR.com and to be honest it pretty fucking weak. A few decent tracks but lots of shit rockers and boppers with horrible, horrible lyrics. Reckless Love seems to have a limited English vocabulary and it's caught up to them.

Kind of regretting already having pre-ordered it.

It still sounds like Reckless Love just one that is lacking any new and good ideas.

Not overly excited about this either. I was for Spirit because Night on Fire was a good track they released in advance, something I can't say about any of the songs they're released from this so far. But who knows, maybe you'll like it once you hear the entire album... How long are the samples on MR.com, 30 seconds / 1 minute each?

After that first track this is defo a listen on Spotify first type album.

Pfffft, there's only 1 reckless love and I want it to sound like reckless love with the typical lyrics they've always delivered. Watched a heap of the new songs done live via YouTube. I dig it and can't wait!

Wow, some harsh commentary so far. I don't usually care what you guys say (HAHA, I kid... don't I?) but you actually kind of have me concerned here.

I'm worried myself. Some passionate fans are otherwise not impressed. The last one seemed to foreshadow a fluffier poppy sound but still had plenty of monstrous bombast. I'll sample it and go from there. Has to have at least a handful of solid tunes.

Spotify came to rescue. From the money I saved on this I already bought me the japanese edition of the first Work Of Art (Thank you, Hisashi!).

Still it's nice listening to "we're the weekend" while doing weekend's laundry.

Isnt bad but compared to the previous output it doesn't stand up,repeated spins may sort this but I didn't have to repeat on Animal Attraction or Spirit long to know they were good so fingers crossed on this one.

I've done one whole listen so far. It doesn't have the brilliance or consistency of their earlier work, but I'm still enjoying things about it. I don't think that it's as bad as some people are saying, but I will be fair and admit that I probably wouldn't be giving it as much of a chance if they hadn't impressed me so much a number of years ago.

    • The third post is actually the full EP. Couldn't find much else about them.
    • New song 'You Are The One'.
    • Hopefully he doesn't cancel on you... just sayin'...
    • I genuinely can't think of anyone more willing to give a band a go post line-up changes that I. Hence my post in that Lionville thread. I feel like I've mentioned this bit before too, but it's why I have three Cher albums in my collection too. I give not a toss about anything but, are the songs good or not? I just don't think there have been any good songs in the Gotthard, Great White or Warrant (not quite as guilty) camp for a long while. The only "Twisted Sister" album I kind of like is 'Love Is For Suckers.' Even then I wouldn't call it great, but it's my favourite of his/theirs by a long way.  Falling In Reverse would be a cool show. Far as I understand it, most hate for them/him comes directed at Ronnie himself (who is actually essentially the band anyway), as he's quite a polarising figure with strong political (and other) opinions. Of the last album, I believe his "woe is me, the whole world's out to get me" kind of delivery might have rubbed some the wrong way. 'Ronnie' is actually my favourite track off the album, but it's not my favourite FIR album at all, to be fair. I still prefer the (kind of tacky in hindsight) 'Alone' days, even though I've heard him slander that song, lol. But Ronnie's an interesting dude and I'm always interested in anything he releases.
    • There's something comforting and familiar when I hear his voice.
    • Firstly, boom boom is an average song. I love a lot of post Steve stuff, and just like someone like Randy Rhodes, band members who die early and suddenly will always be seen in an ever glowing untouchable light. Dee was clearly the creative force behind TS and what I consider their best song was their last. Heroes Are Hard To Find ticks every box a song needs to tick. Don't care that none of the rest of the band played on it, although I think Joey did from memory. People will come out and say Warrant or Great White were shit after losing their singers, but I reckon mostly this is because comparisons and being made and expectations are not met.J ust think of them as a new band and enjoy great music. Just got Falling In Reverse tickets. Not sure why there's hate for them, they have killer and diverse songs. Personally don't like the song Ronnie, and I'm no die hard fan, having jumped on the bandwagon after hearing Zombified for the first time. Interestingly my son, daughter and wife are coming to the show, and my wife's style of music is crowded house and Madonna etc but she heard their stuff a bit and started to love it as well. I think it will be a pretty good show as well. Black Veil Brides supporting (yay) as well as Hollywood Undead, who I don't know at all.
    • I love the three songs so far. The first verse with the low vocals and the bass guitar is perfect.
    • Still keen to hear a new album, but going through a little "patch" with Crazy Lixx. The songs from the last album (of re-works, admittedly) haven't been hitting the spot for me at all when they come up on my 2024 playlist. But 'Little Miss Dangerous' is pretty nice.
    • Wow, 15 years since Toxic Heart. This song kind of brings me back to where I was with them. It's good solid hard rock, but outside of that it does very little for me.
    • Yeah, I dunno. Not their finest hour, but not too bad. Don't love it, but definitely don't hate it either. It's okay.
