Yearly Post Total

Recommended Posts

Yearly? Not that I'm aware of, other than manually noting your total on January 1 and then comparing it the following year.

If you're talking about the forum in general, same thing applies. I do know that traffic is down overall.

People are resting on their totals. They're too busy looking at their number of 10,000 + posts that they forget to post anything.

Yeah mate, I'm not sure anyone here ever even looks at their post totals. There were jokes about it in the olden days and then it just got silly with the congrats on ______'s 100th post threads every week, but thankfully that's gone for now and I really don't think anyone ever looks at that part of the screen. At least I assume that's how it rolls.

Maybe I need to congratulate everyone individually on their post totals and then my post total would increase !

And then people can congratulate you on congratulating people on their posts totals, and then you can congratulate them on congratulating you on congratulating people, and then...

I just wish more of the 'guests' would take the plunge and post - the more the merrier.

I sometimes check out the post counts. Sometimes I'll see a name I'm not familiar with, but they'll have a significant amount of posts, and I wonder where they've been. Or I'll look through the list of members and check out all the high posters that haven't been around in years and wonder what the hell happened to them. And sometimes I'll go look for the old regulars that haven't posted in years, and find that they've been active recently, but they just don't say hello. Creeps.

He came to Australia for Summer. He's currently in my basement. Unconscious. But he's there. I'll throw him a laptop later this afternoon.

With so many bands coming back and so many good new rock bands around it's sad the post counts are down.

With what could well be a bumper year ahead let's hope we get a few more members. There has to be somebody else out there who doesn't rate White Widdow.

I think a lot of people jumped ship and are posting on other sites. As far as myself I'm really busy with my kids and no longer have a cushy desk job so I don't have time to post.

I haven't been around much. Too busy supporting local Metal bands, computer crashing. My purchasing has been on a down low as well.

Yep, one word...Facebook.

If we had an App I'd probably be on even more but the internet version of the site isn't bad anyway.

I think FB has a lot to do with it. A lot of forums on various topics have been replaced by social media.... but... I don't do social media, and really do not like the format for discussions and searchability. I prefer the traditional forum format.

I think another contributor is that I really haven't added any new functionality or given a visual overhaul to the main site. I simply don't have the time.

I don't understand how FaceTubes, or any other form of social media, can replace this site. Those are OK for discussing things for a day or two, but here we can go back to conversations from years ago, reflect, and even add to or change our opinions. It's always there for reference. FaceTubes has no search feature. There's no comparing the two. I seriously don't get it.

My purchasing has been on a down low as well. That's a quote from CDJ.What it means is that he might not break 100 CD's bought for this month.

    • From Frontiers: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl are delighted to announce the release of “Ride To Nowhere”, the third studio album by Inglorious on January 25, 2019. The debut single & video from the album, “Where Are You Now?” is out now. The album will be released on CD, Limited Edition Box Set (CD+T-shirt), Vinyl, Limited Edition Crystal Vinyl (exclusive to Frontiers webstore), Limited Edition White Vinyl (exclusive to the Inglorious webstore), and Digital formats. Pre-order HERE: http://radi.al/RideToNowhere
      Inglorious Store: http://inglorious.com/shop/
Frontiers Store: https://www.frontiers.shop/ In amongst their touring commitments, Inglorious spent 2018 writing and recording their third studio album, “Ride To Nowhere”. A much darker, more reflective album than their previous releases, the new songs further hone the Inglorious sound – the pulsating rhythms, driving guitars and infectious vocal melodies. “This album is different in many ways. The songs came about very quickly. As with all our songs we start with a riff, and this time having new guitarist Drew added a new and heavier feel to a couple of songs. We wrote the basics mostly together all in one room on acoustic guitars and then I went away and crafted the stories I wanted to tell. For me this album is very personal. I am for the first time writing about a lot of my feelings, relationships and losses...” – Nathan James “On this album I feel that the songs are a true reflection of what we’ve been through over the past few years - both as a band and as individuals. You’ve got the highs, the lows and lessons learned along the way. The making of this album was at a time when we all had our own personal situations and changes to deal with. I feel that this definitely comes through on the recordings and particularly songs like ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Where Are You Now?’ and ‘Glory Days”. – Colin Parkinson The recording of “Ride to Nowhere” involves for the first time new guitarist Drew Lowe, who says “The album is the next step for the band in maturity. Being that it's my first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as we started we knew what type of record was coming. Hopefully the fans will love it as they follow us on the musical journey.” From the body blow riffs of the first single “Where Are You Now?”, to the beautiful melodies and bluesy overtones of “I Don’t Know You,” from the assault of “Freak Show” to the acoustic ballad “Glory Days”, “Ride to Nowhere” is an absolute gem of an album, showing not only all the influences from iconic rock albums of the 70’s, but also offering the band’s own sound and interpretation. As with Inglorious “II”, the album was mixed by the legendary Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith). “There’s a lot of variety on this album, more so than the previous ones and that I really like. Sonically I think it sounds more fresh, contemporary in a sense and that goes for a bunch of songs on the album as well. Just the singles alone are different than how we’ve sounded in the past, but still have the Inglorious feel and vibe! Lastly I also think that musically it’s better than the previous albums, everyone plays very tasteful, soulful and collectively I feel that it’s perfect!” – Andreas Eriksson “We’re all really happy with the way the new record sounds and look forward to seeing how the fans receive it. I personally can’t wait to play the new material live on the road!”- Phil Beaver   Tracklisting: 1. Where Are You Now?
