I read over at Melodic Rock that the new Wigelius is scheduled for release in Summer 2015.

 

I've been patient, but RELEASE THIS DAMN CD!!! The 'Please, Please, Please' single came out last Spring. That'll be over a year from releasing the first single to actually releasing the whole cd.

whats odd about it those 3 songs are nothing short of stunning and honestly if i am betting man, I'd bet the band would come out with more amazing tunes that makes up to be an incredible album

Well the 3 songs so far are all bloody good imo. Obviously the rest has to stack up.

I'm sort of the same. I can't say they are any better than most of the bands in the genre (and quite a few have released better debut albums too tbh) and I don't really get all the extra fuss. They are a good band and the debut album was solid, without being spectacular and the new songs so far have been good as well. Until the album drops, i'll reserve judgement, as I would with anything else.

It all comes down to personal taste I guess. Some like their melodic rock/AOR to be syrupy, poppish, youthful, modern-sounding, not too mature but full of catchy hooks like Wigelius maybe, some don't and prefer the classic early 80s side of AOR like Journey or Foreigner.

It is an odd one because once a band releases a track from an upcoming album (let alone 3 of them!!!) you can safely assume the album is in the can and just going through the final stages before it hits the shelves. Strange one...

Where is the album??
We know a lot of you are wondering, and rightfully so. We don’t want to make lame excuses, but we feel that we owe you an explanation.

We are very sorry for the delay, and we do understand your frustration. We urge you to consider though, that we work full time as songwriters and musicians. WIGELIUS is our love child, in both senses of the word. It’s something we keep on the side, but really pour our love into. We put our heart and soul into this project and want it to be perfect. At the same time, we have bills to pay and cats to feed.

Recently we have gotten ALLOOOOT of questions and even some angry letters, asking about the release. On the upside, it’s very nice to realise that a lot of you are looking forward to this album a great deal!
Right now, we’re at the very end of production. The songs are recorded and they sound great! There are still a few things to be done and we do not yet have a release date. We will keep you updated, and let you know the date as soon as we get one.
So, if you just chill for a while, you will soon be listening to the new album. Promise!
