Absolutely fantastic news and an album I have been waiting to be released on CD for a very very long time. If any of you lot into your classic early 80's AOR ala Tane Cain, Pat Benatar, Scandal etc haven't heard this one before, now is your chance. Buy Buy Buy.

 

 

 

The album 'Priceless' by Canadian singer and song-writer LISA PRICE is considered to be a real AOR jewel and was a hot import tip in the year of it’s original release in 1983.

The band behind consisted of a real dream team of the genre and included musicians from the bands Wrabit, Zappacosta, Dalbello, Honeymoon Suite and Surrender.

The song ‘Can’t Hold Forever” was written by Berny LaBarge who also played guitar on this track. ‘Heartache’ got penned and performed by Honeymoon Suite guitar player Derry Grehan, whereas ‘Everywhere I Go’ as well was composed by Berny LaBarge and sounds quite reminiscent of Patty Smyth and Scandal.

‘No One’s Business’ is an up-tempo Rock track with great Hammond keyboards. ‘Empty Hearts’ was written by Nils Logren and covered by LISA PRICE on this album. The closing track ‘Runaway’ represents LISA PRICE’s typical magic of the 80’s and can be compared to fellow singers such as Lee Aaron and Pat Benatar.

Produced by Paul Gross (Triumph, Rush, Saga), ‘Priceless’ so far only was available on vinyl.

It definitely was time for Munich based label ‚Yesterrock‘ to re-release this wonderful gem – re-mastered by MSM studios Munich and now for the first time available on CD.
