Journey, Whitesnake & Thunder 2013 UK tour

My review of this:

 

Thunder were excellent and did a nice mix of old classics and new ones. Danny can still sing and the band sounded tight.

 

Whitesnake were a disappointment. They did far too much new stuff and the classics they did do weren't my favourites. Coverdale sounds very good for his age though.

 

Journey were surprisingly outstanding and easily my favourite. The songs were all old classics and Arnel does a perfect job on all of them (maybe too perfect!).

 

I mainly went for Whitesnake though and was disappointed with them.

Whats funny is I am hearing vastly different opinions from people who went to the shows, so am starting to think it depends on how much people like certain bands.

Only band that seems to be getting universal praise is Thunder.

I have heard people say Snake and Thunder were great, but Journey were dull.

Some people say that if it wasnt for Reb Beach and his backing vocals, Whitesnake would have sounded shit.

I have also heard that Thunder were the only decent band on the bill.

Saw a recent live' clip awhile back..and for 61 David sounds pretty solid imo.
