Why did this take six years, though?

Looking for a label, innit? And they still don't have one, far as I know...

All Killer ,No Filler. A bold statement that gets tossed around for albums but in this case it is 100% accurate. We were introduced to these guys 6 years ago and from that moment and with every new track they dropped we were asking when is the album coming, well it's here, but was it worth the wait,Hell Yeah It Was. This is the BEST thing i have heard this year (along with LEBROCK) and  these guys have nailed it with this album, 12 hook laden modern rock songs that just ooze class and just make you wanna hit the repeat button once track 12 has finished. No Sleep For Lucy deserve to be massive.

Mandatory Purchase.

I've been listening to these tracks a fair bit today. I think, if I was to pick one stand out track, "Mistake" is the best of the bunch. But I think it says a lot when everyone appears to have a different favourite.

intriguing band name. Anyone any background info on why they called themselves this??

It refers to 'Lucy' the oldest female remains found in Ethiopia. She was removed from her resting place, and now put on display in exhibition. So, there will be no sleep for Lucy.

Was listening to the new 30 seconds to mars in the car on the way into work and then switched to this. Couldn't tell the difference except this is way better. It's like 30 seconds to mars when they first started. Jared needs to cheer up a bit and stop being so serious.

    • Motley Crue signed with the country label from Tennessee Big Machine Rec.. New song Dogs of War relased on Friday the 26th. Other than that don't ask me what there doing they did a little video of them signing contract and it doesn't include John 5 so he's not really part of Motley he's a hired gun..  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3iDklwv1PI&t=2s
    • Thanks I was wondering why he went with this cover ...lol  I wouldn't have but again thats me ...lol But I will be buying this CD. Peace Guys ...
    • Not much information on the video's page, other than it appears to be an AI creation. Once it gets into the verse and especially the chorus, it's actually not too bad IMO.
    • While I appreciate your interest in contributing to the site, most of the artists and albums you are submitting are either REALLLLLLY stretching the boundaries, or as in the case of this band, completely off the mark. No alternagrunge. No punk. No death metal/power metal (although those can be submitted to Brutal Metal). You can always start a thread asking about a particular artist before blindly submitting it for inclusion. Thanks! -Dan

    • DEEP PURPLE Announces New Album '=1' - BLABBERMOUTH.NET DEEP PURPLE, one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time, will release a new album, "=1", on July 19 via earMUSIC. The first single will be unveiled on April 30 at midnight, a taster for the full 13 tracks of pioneering and rip-roaring rock and roll. "=1" is the band's first album with sensational guitarist Simon McBride, who seamlessly slotted in when longtime member Steve Morse left due to personal circumstances. Since 2022, Simon has already played to DEEP PURPLE audiences totalling more than half a million people. ith three consecutive No. 1 albums in their back pocket and a resurgent new energy powering them forward, this is DEEP PURPLE at their pinnacle. "Now WHAT?!" (2013),"inFinite" (2017) and "Whoosh!" (2020) have sold over one million copies worldwide, making DEEP PURPLE one of the most successful rock bands currently active. The latest studio album, "Whoosh!", reached No. 1 on the album charts in seven countries and charted in the top 10 in another 12. "=1" track listing: 01. Show Me 02. A Bit On The Side 03. Sharp Shooter 04. Portable Door 05. Old-Fangled Thing 06. If I Were You 07. Pictures Of You 08. I'm Saying Nothin' 09. Lazy Sod 10. Now You're Talkin' 11. No Money To Burn 12. I'll Catch You 13. Bleeding Obvious In 2022 came the sad news of Steve Morse's departure due to personal circumstances, but DEEP PURPLE, never a band to let a set back throw them off course, sought out the masterful skills of guitarist Simon McBride and played the year out in style, exciting crowds with a new energy and excitement. Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Don Airey and Simon McBride continue with renewed vitality, pushing the boundaries of hard rock to audiences around the globe, proving that DEEP PURPLE are very much here to stay.
