I've been a frequent visitor to HeavyHarmonies for a while now and I think it's a terrific resource for information on melodic rock music. I decided I could get involved in the forum when I noticed that there was a seemingly absent CD that I could contribute to the site. In any case, I hope I can provide useful additions to the site, although it seems pretty comprehensive from what I can see. That aside, I suppose I should mention some of the bands I like. I'm quite keen on hard rock and some of the prog rock bands from the 1970s, such as the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Yes and ELP and I also enjoy most of what you might call "the usual suspects" of AOR such as Journey, Foreigner, Boston and so on, as well as many of the late-eighties pop-metal groups; I count bands such Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Mr. Big among my favourites.
