Eclipse - Bleed & Scream

Glen

Recommended Posts

OK, time to start getting excited - only a few weeks to go.

Full 90 second samples are now on itunes and it sounds bloody great I have to say.

Sounds like Toby Hitchcock solo part II to me, except heavier - definite Eclipse sound coming through in these tunes.

Not a band I've been hugely keen on in the past, but these tunes seem pretty nice. The title track and 'Falling Down' sound feckin' awesome to me. I think this one is going to be good.

Does anybody have a clean pair of shorts?

Very excited about this one.

Just this 1 minute sample alone has best release of the year written all over it.

Eclipse just keeps getting better with each album, just judging by the samples on offer for this album.

Their debut, until this new one is released no doubt, still features their best songs so far, imo.

Wow, that really does sound brilliant. Sounds like the production with be better than the Hitchcock disc too, which'll be a bonus.

I-tunes have supposedly got 'bleed and scream" available as a single, anyone got that yet?

Just listened to the whole track on Spotify and it is no doubt a great track....the solo is very cool. If the whole album is as good as this it will be a cracker. Somehow though I see this as being one of the better songs judging from the samples.....we'll see.

Mind you, I wasnt overly convinced by 'Cabo' on Hitchcock, until I heard the whole song and the solo blew my nuts off lol.

Only a month or so to go :-))

(I hated 'Cabo'; my second least favourite song on the Hitchcock album.)

Interested to see if this album is as good as the title track suggests it might be...

Andrew over @ Melodicrock.com added 3 more samples today and I have to say this is way heavier than I expected. The sound reminds me more of a Jorn/Lande or a PC69 style Melodic Metal rather than the last Eclipse release or W.E.T.

I like it, but big epic chorus type tunes don't seem to be the theme. The songs are all melodic, but I still don't hear an over the top perfect melodic rock track. The pace of the samples have me thinking the guitar solos are gonna be furiously awesome.

I'm getting it for sure.

That title track is extremely awesome. If someone has the best place to pre-order this I'd like to do it now. I SAID NOW!

    • Eclipse played that same game when Apocalypse Blues came out.  They dropped that song as just a single and made no mention of an album at that point as far as I remember.  All they were doing was selling the 7 inch vinyl.  We know now though that they clearly knew a full album was coming as Erik said they basically were working on both albums at the same time and deciding which tracks would go on each album.  Granted, maybe they didn't know the full timing of album #2 at that point but they certainly knew one was coming. Maybe the same here.  Maybe will trickle out a few songs and then announce an album later this year or early next year when it's closer to release.
    • So, Danny posted how the song is doing on Spotify and someone asked if this means a new album soon. Danny just made vague replies and said "well there will be more stuff coming soon"
    • Funnily enough, I read that this afternoon when I went to add the album to my collection on the main page. I got the European version which has two bonus tracks ... if you don't have them, you really aint missing anything

    • Named my HH self after the song Auslander on the album Stain. Love that track. Really like the whole album. It's like Living Colour's "Slave to the Grind" or "Dog Eat Dog".

Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant (respectively current lead vocalist of Southern Rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd and founding member of .38 Special) were able to find room in their busy schedules for the first time in 1998, recording their collaboration album “Brother to Brother”: a tribute to their late brother and Lynyrd Skynyrd original singer and founding member Ronnie. Such release was highly acclaimed between the press and fans worldwide and brought the duo to record a follow up album, simply entitled “II” in 2001. Their collaboration during the years did not stop as they tapped their feet in a more Country-oriented style with the release of “Get Right With the Man” (certified Gold in the USA in 2005) and later on with “My Kind of Country” in 2007. Now the brothers once again reinvent themselves, offering a Christian-themed album encompassing their Rock and Blues musical roots (and with a touch of Country for good measure). The result “Always Look Up” is made up of songs that will touch the listener’s heart and soul, with an emotional depth that is truly second to none in today’s musical landscape. Experience the soul touching that only the music from the Van Zant family, can provide. You will see why they are icons of the American South, and musical heroes to millions around the globe!
