Seems that Kristy and Steve have once again fallen out, with Kristy saying he is done with PBF cause Steve has cancelled tour dates due to not wanting to lose a DJing job.

To be honest, it all sounds a bit one sided at the moment as Steve hasnt said anything, but seeing as Kristy has said that the last two dates for PBF tour will be without him and some other band member due to prior engagements (or something like that), sounds like its a case of both of them not wanting to commit to the band or touring.

I do laugh though at all the people on the friends lists either defending one party or the other, despite not knowing either of them personally, or demanding answers.

I love PBF but this all sounds a bit schoolyard for my liking.

I agree.

Honestly, I will always love this band as they have one of the classic albums under their belt, but my question would be what are they really splitting up from anyway? It's not like they've actually done anything worthwhile since 1999, imo.

At the end of the day, whatever Steve Summers sings on next is just going to sound like PBF anyway, regardless of who else is in the band. :)

looks like a scenario to boost attention, and yes, split up this year, reunited next year to make an album that sounded like their first album, everybody's happy :D

I wouldnt say its that at all.

Kristy is being quite vocal in his comments on Steve, and Steve is just keeping quiet.

The whole thing with cancellation of their upcoming tour dates and the fact an album that was just due for release is now looking like it wont happen, just damages their rep rather than make people want them to reform.

Regardless of what peoples opinions are of the band since the debut, they have been a solid touring band since the initial reformation, always selling out the smaller clubs all over the world.

For them to constantly keep coming back to Europe, they must have been doing reasonably well considering how much that costs a band.

Steve continued on without Kristy last time they fell out, and I am sure that Steve will probably consider it again, unless he really doesnt want to lose the DJing job.

Personally I have liked pretty much everything they have done, but I am not about to jump on a band wagon saying shit about either of them as I really dont know them.

Only one I have ever met is Steve, and he was a really nice guy both times, and thats all that matters to me.

I will say though, Kristy does regularly throw hissy fits on his Facebook when something upsets him, so its really no surprise that sooner or later Steve would piss him off again.

Ok, things deteriorated even more over the last week to the point that Steve and Kristy unfriended themselves on Facebook from eachother.

Kristy was saying that any orders for PBF stuff were not his obligation but Steves, and Steve was saying that Kristy had taken all the money and had kept it all to himself.

Today, both of them had statuses saying that all the dates were to go ahead as normal, and that after the tour they would be taking a break. They are now both friends again on Facebook.

TBH, I dont know the ins and outs of it, but a lot of it just seems down to Kristy throwing a wobbler as usual (he has threatened to unfriend people if they are friends with two of the guys who are in EZN in the past), and once he calmed down, he realised his error.

Steve thankfully kept quiet most of the time, and only stuck up for himself when people were being told it was his responsibility to fulfill the orders.

No idea where this leaves the new album though.

Guess they kissed and made up... Pretty Boy Floyd has reconfirmed their date and are again scheduled to appear at M3 in early May.

    • New album 'Universal Human Desire' out March 31. From Lions Pride Music: Outlasted is a professional rock band hailing from Norway, known for their captivating blend of AOR (Album-Oriented Rock) sound. Formed in 2010 by guitarist Terje Fløyli and keyboard player Odd-Børge Hansen, the band's unique journey began with the exchange of song ideas through traditional mail, rather than the ubiquitous digital communication we now know as email. Despite residing in different cities, Fløyli and Hansen forged a deep musical connection, fostering their shared passion for AOR by burning CDs and sending files back and forth. Gradually, their collaborative efforts materialized into a collection of songs that formed the foundation of their debut album, "Into the Night," which was released in 2016 through Melodic Rock Records. To bring their vision to life, Outlasted enlisted the talents of drummer Rune Bryn and bassist Rickard Johannesson, who contributed to the recording of the album's bed tracks. However, the band's lineup experienced changes, leading to the recruitment of vocalist Glenn Wikran, drummer Rune Erling Pedersen, and bassist Aleksander Schjølberg. The release of "Into the Night" garnered international acclaim, captivating listeners worldwide and receiving high praise from critics. Notably, the music video for their hit single, "Someone Like You," quickly gained viral popularity, spreading like wildfire across the internet. In 2019, Outlasted unveiled their highly anticipated sophomore album, "Waiting for Daybreak." The CD edition, limited to 500 copies, sold out within a mere three months, attesting to the band's growing fanbase. Tragically, shortly after the album's release, their record label underwent a change in ownership. Consequently, the physical copies of "Waiting for Daybreak" became coveted collectors' items. However, the band remained undeterred, navigating these challenges with resilience. Prior to commencing the recording of "Waiting for Daybreak," Outlasted underwent another lineup transformation, bidding farewell to drummer Rune Erling Pedersen and bassist Aleksander Schjølberg. Their vacant spots were filled by drummer Andreas Jentoft and bassist Lasse Ingebrigtsen, both of whom contributed their exceptional skills to the band's subsequent music videos, "Chains of Destiny" and "After All These Years." In 2023, Outlasted inked a significant record deal with Lions Pride Music, solidifying their global reach. Currently, the band is diligently crafting their third studio album, poised for release on March 31, 2025. With their unwavering dedication and unwritten chapters awaiting, Outlasted is set to captivate audiences once again with their irresistible AOR sound, leaving an indelible mark on the rock music landscape. Outlasted is: Glenn Wikran – Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals & Guitars Terje Fløyli – Guitars Odd-Børge Hansen – Keyboards & Backing Vocals Lasse Ingebrigtsen – Bass Andreas Jentoft – Drums 01. • Love a bit of Kim. She's done some real quality albums over the years, especially her first 5 or so albums. 'Here Come The Aliens' from 2018 was a real return to form and the 2 latest singles promise a lot for the new album too.
    • Nothing has really stuck with this tbh, so a  solid album without blowing me away.
    • Great album..one of the better MR discs this year
    • A good album and their best in quite a while. 'Don't Wanna Say Goodbye' and 'State Of Emergency' are my picks.
    • It's ok, although a little weak on the original songs if  i'm honest. Of the  6 New England covers, whilst quite well done, they don't improve or add anything compared to the fantastic original versions, although  'I'm Not Down', which was meant for the unreleased 4th New England album, is the clear winner on this set.  Not an album that will get played very often, but not a bad effort.
    • Yep...musically very sound, but a little bit too 'preachy' for me.
