The lack of knowledge / respect for Bonfire in this thread is a huge concern to me. Do yourself a favour all you guys who don't have anything from the band, and urgently seek out a copy of 'Fireworks' from 1988, and 'Point Blank' from 1989. NO CD collection is complete without them.

mmh, I bought Fireworks at a second hand store, probably about a year ago, I haven't heard it since then, I actually didn't think much of it, I'll have to dig it out again to see what you're getting so worked up about Geoff.

Wow - "Fireworks" is an all-time Top 5 album for me. Slightly better than the equally classic "Point Blank" album IMO....

Yes Satan, you should give it another listen. ;) Killer disc. It should be illegal to dislike it.

I actually tracked-down my copy last night to play it, after this thread. It's flawless IMO. Even the bonus track on the end ("Cold Days") is better than any song they've written since the "Point Blank" album....

Wow, been listening to it for a while, I must admit it's quite spectacular, I never noticed it had such a Scandinavian flavour to it. Sometimes when your driving home and listen to your newly bought cd, the car stereo doesn't do it justice, I'm definitely gonna try and get a hold of 'Point Blank'.

You must. Opinions vary about 50/50 on which is the better album (and fairly so as both are close to perfect) but I'm part of the 50% who prefer 'Point Blank'. Completely stunning album from start to end.

All of these were near impossible... I just can't believe the lack of, or negative, response to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Some great songs people are missing. I know some people just can't get into a female vocalist... but someone here has to be able to compile 3 songs. LOL
