Had a chance to catch up with him last week while he was in the states to promote Constancia, Mountain of Power, and do a little music shopping. Great guitarist, great guy and I can't believe I wasn't more familiar with him before this... at any rate go HERE to read the interview!

Wow great interview Pete.

I'm not familiar with this guy or any of his bands but it sure made me interested to look into seeing if I would like any of them.

Also you need to check out that Electric Mary it rocks.

Do the Encyclopedia's you guys talked about written in English?

Also what bands of his are the best starting point?

Actually waiting to receive a bunch of his stuff, but my first take is:

Constancia - Traditional Frontiers prog laced rock/metal with AORish hooks

Overdrive - Classic Metal

Mountain of Power - 70's influenced but modern sounding rock/metal with lots of guest appearances

Locomotive Breath - Power Metal

Really great guy, and by the end of the interview it was more like hanging out and shooting the shit with a fellow musician. Very cool stuff!

    • I have been easing myself back into gigs since last year. I had a four year lay off for various reasons, and first gig was The Warning last year. This year I have had three gigs booked so far, with only The Warning one already attended almost exactly a year after I saw them last year. I also have Cassidy Paris in August and Sophie Lloyd in October. I also have one gig booked for next year and it just so happens to be The Warning again ha ha
