I dont know whats rare anymore, it seems like surely after I spend years and dollars aquiring something, it goes and gets reissued, but these were my rarest.

 

The Tubes - Young & Rich

 

Hard Knox - Psycos R Us

 

Sluts Crazy

 

Noize Toys - Falling In Lust Again

 

Sagittarius - Sanity Of Madness

 

Like I said, I don't know how rare they are anymore, if any of them have been reissued, but mine are the original pressings!

I've got quite a bit of rare CDs (Taken, Sweet Teaze, Schoolboy Crush, Pretty Wicked, Dr Grind, Jillson, New Dynasty, Concrete Jungle, Eli....and I could go on).

 

But I think the rarest CD I have may be Soren - S/T. It was a demo only and I'm sure there aren't many copies floating around out there. Not sure it sells for as much as many of the rare CDs I own, but rarity wise I think that may be the one...but I'm not completely sure.

 

That Soren disc is a good one and agree, it is a rare one, but probably wouldn't fetch the Friction kind of $$$, for what reason I don't know.

 

 

As James mentioned I have that Innerfear disc and with only 250 pressed I would say it is pretty elusive.

 

And as Steve mentioned, I have some of the staple rarities: Concrete Jungle, Emergency, Villan, but would say discs like Storm Within, Dead Serious, Hello/goodbye, Tresspasser, etc... are just as rare, just as good, but unknown to the masses.

 

The rarest cd I have, however, is from 2009! That's right, this year! Only 3 copies exist! The 3 discs were made at Ardent studios, one kept by the engineer and 2 given to the bands guitarist and in turn one was given to me! The cd in question is: TOP HEAVY CRUSH-S/T

The disc is brilliant and unfortunately do to extenuating circumstances will never see the light of day....

When Ratt released it on their own label (Time Coast) I think it was vinyl/cassette only. Atlantic repackaged and re-released it a few years later on CD, which is the copy I have. But apparently that Atlantic version has also been out of print for some time now, hence the ridiculous price on Amazon.

 

What makes it even sweeter is that I got that CD for nothin'. A couple of years ago a chick I worked with brought in a whole bag of CDs that she was trying to get rid of. They belonged to her ex boyfriend who'd moved to Florida after she kicked him out of their apartment. In addition to the Ratt I also got King Kobra's "III" and two Hurricane discs in that haul, amongst others.

Just picked up MAD MAX - Rollin Thunder 84 Roadrunner white slim line pressing on Amazon for $16...the dude didn't know what he had. It saved me $200.

How is that Kage album? I've read that it's either glam or thrash online :S

 

It's actually a very awesome disc. I'd definately call it glam, though some of the songs are much heavier than most of your typical 80's glam bands. Certainly doesn't qualify as thrash, not even close.

Rock Boulevard...it more than lives up to the hype. As far as I'm concerned it's the best indie out there.
