Reckless Love

I'm still waiting on this to come out in the US so I can finally order it.

All the imports seem to be at a fairly high price and the debut was that way too and very hard to find below $20 for a long time.

I paid $16 total for my copy straight from Amazon.uk. Fast shipping too.

Lucky bastard. ;) I'm still waiting on mine. I think it's probably 'cause I ordered it with a bunch of pre-orders and the whole order will ship when the pre-orders are out too. I'd be lying anyway if I said there wasn't more than enough to keep me occupied till this time, though. But man I'd love to hear it...

Sophmore Slump. Not near as good as the debut.

:huhsign::crazy::bs::screwy::wtf::baneed:

Just one spin through and it just dont have the edge of the debut.

Im not saying its a bad album but just didnt grab me like the first one did.

i hear way to much Def Leppard and Olli's voice sounds different too.

Im sure more spins will give me more of an appreciation at least i hope it does.

The songs are better in general on the debut, but I think Olli's voice is stronger (maybe simply due to better production) on Animal Attraction, however the lyrics are cheesier...hard to believe.

I'm on my second spin and it's better than the 1st but the quality does fade on the second half of the disc. I might be alone but I enjoyed the more DLR style vocals on the debut so that's what I was expecting but he seems to be holding that back somewhat on this one.

Well I think its an excellent album. Sure the highs on the debut (Sex, Romance, Wild Touch) trump anything here, but overall this is a more consistent album. Cummon guys there was some definite filler on that debut.....the album didnt really get started until track 5.

if you live in Aussie, no way you can beat Amazon UK for the free shipment.

Too bad my country isn't listed as free shipment, as for each 4 CDs I've ordered, Geoff get a free CD for the cost of my shipment :christmas:

Yes, yes I do. :) Or is it every 3 discs? ;)

But as long as exchange rates hold pretty solid, I agree. No possible way Amazon.uk prices can be beaten. In fact, nowhere else is even close. Only Nuclearhell was, but that site hasn't been updated since July. And even if it had, why pay the same price for Russian pressings (which never has and never would bother me) a few months after the release date, when you can buy the "proper" copy for same price, on or close to the actual release date? Party.

You musta been listening to a different debut as there was no filler on that album for me, and was one of my top albums of the year.

The new one also lacks filler, but just is a few steps behind the debut for me.

The comedy of it is that theres a marketplace seller on Amazon UK based in the US, who is trying to sell it back to the UK for nearly £22 when Amazon is listing it for £9.

I picked up the Japanese release of this and whilst it doesn't have the Euro bonus track (Young N Crazy) it has the song PUSH. See below. Great song, one of my favourite on the CD along with Hot, Dirty Dreams, On the Radio etc.

Thoughts?

They should have ditched the first 2 tracks on the CD and put the Euro and Japanese bonus tracks on instead! Still a very, very good album!

Pretty limp chorus lyrics, but I do like the tune... a lot. I will have to make sure I download that one somehow. I sure wish it was on my version of the CD. :(

Both the first 2 tracks are better than Young n Crazy

Might as well put my 2 cents in here...

This will be very near the top of my list this year. Strong release.

Neither Push or Young N Crazy is that great IMO...hence "bonus" tracks.

Ranking the songs, favorite to least favorite:

Dance (I know some of you don't like this tune...it's killer IMO, maybe just because it is different)

On The Radio

Born To Break Your Heart

Fantasy

Coconuts

Hot

Dirty Dreams

Animal Attraction

Fight

Speedin'

Switchblade Babe

Young N Crazy

Push

Yeah I like the album a lot but there at least 4 tracks on the debut better than anything here. Still a great band!
