So... what are your thoughts on 2009 so far?

Recommended Posts

One compliment I must pay 2009 so far is that even if there are not a heap of amazing albums, there are a bunch of individual songs spread out over dozens of albums, that are just brilliant. My top 10 songs of this year would probably be the best I've seen in a few years.

And also one that, although I just got it a week ago, has been in CONSTANT play... at home, at work, in the car, you name it.

Their debut was solid, although not overly memorable. Their new release goes up a few notches in my book.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but... take Lana Lane, and blend it with The Corrs, and then add some Oomph underneath it.

Here are my 2 favorite tracks (320kbps) from the album:

Invidia

Virtue & Vice

Delain_-_April_rain.jpg

Just snagged a copy of this and haven't stopped playing it since it arrived yesterday. Fantastic disc with some great songs throughout. If you like the 2 tracks Dan has posted above, then don't hesitate to get a copy pronto.

IMHO........ the years got better thanks to the incredible HEAVENS TOUCH release, what an unexpected & such a pleasant out of nowhere surprise !

Retrospect's release of Hunter, geez where did that come from??????

I must have close to 20 of this years releases by now, one thing I'm kinda a tad dissapointed in is the China Blue disc feat the mighty pipes of Tony Mills, duno why the osngs dont stick, kinda feels this is one of more run of mill types despite the incredible talent herein.. Eric Ragno on keys, hello??

Was my expectations on this is too high?

Withe new CD from Action coming out along with local ( Melbourne Australia ) AOR heroes White Widdow's debut e.p about to come out in July the year is looking most excellent :beerbang:

I think Kiss have just released an anthology of previously unreleased tracks for the Australian market, be keen to pick that up.
