Treat - Remasters

Strangely, the two Treat CDs that I have found impossible to find are the two self titled ones.

I do actually have the best of version on cassette, but it would be nice to replace it given the chance.

Yeah, got to agree there. That f*cking s/t disc with Leven is impossible to get. In my entire collection it's probably the one that's been on my want list for the longest, and for a "non-rare" CD it is just not available, from anywhere.

I agree that thing is so hard to find.

I love all the Treat stuff, but I must admit The Leven S/T didn't exactly set my world on fire when I first heard it, and it still doesn't now. It has it's moments and I will always keep hold of it, but it definitely sits at the foot of the pile in all their discography.

This is the truth. I can see where Wes is coming from, having heard that album first. But for most of us, having heard their back catalogue and loving that, then hearing them go to an "Americanized" straight forward hard rock album... it was a pretty huge shock. There are some stunning songs on it - 'Learn to fly', 'Dog day comin' down', 'Poor Man' and Justice'... but also a bit of some pretty average hard rock.

When you look at their first few albums, they never really dealt in fillers until the s/t disc. Even 'Muscle in Motion' is filler-free.

At the end of the day, I do think the s/t is a very good album... but it is a HUGE change in Treat's traditional style and not on par with their glory years... imo :)

Wow, I don't hear any filler on the s/t cd but I hear a ton on the earlier albums. I guess it depends on when you got in to them and what you heard first.
